quick question for those of you who have already submitted the ds-160...

my fiance is going to a place today where he can pay to print. so, he's going to submit the application from one of the computers there. then what happens...does the barcode page automatically pop up for him to print it? or is there a button or link he's going to have to click to get it? I'm going to be on the phone with him when he does it, so I just want to be prepared to tell him exactly what he needs to do once he clicks submit (lol he's super nervous about messing anything up).

also...since i helped to fill out the application part of it, on the last page before submission, i put my information as someone who helped prepare it. i know a couple of you yesterday said this was a good idea to do...just double checking (because I'm super nervous about messing anythng up too lol)

thanks everyone!! :)

Can someone help me out with the DHL trick... What date should I be putting in for the reference number? I thought I had it right but no results ever show up every time I try to do it lol, even when I tried a month for the date range.

My NOA2 was June 2nd. I had called on the 16th or 17th because that was two weeks and they hadn't had it yet, so I called again on monday the 29th and was told that they just send the ones for canada right on after they get the case number/put it in the system.

So I looked at the dates for ones only sent to Canada, and it looks like ones were mailed on the 23rd, 25th, and 29th. The EXP dates are 22, 24, and 29 though, but those are the ones sent so far from last week to Montreal and Vancouver.

So the only one's that will have info for Canada are

EXP 22 JUN 2015A
EXP 24 JUN 2015A
EXP 29 JUN 2015A

None for the 30th, or today the 1st.

If you just had your number assigned on the 29th, I'd doubt it was in the 29th pack, but it might be in one of the next two which means they should have it at the consulate by next week BUT I've heard Montreal sucks on paperwork, so it might sit in their mail room for a week or two before anyone touches it.

Either way, it should look something like this. Make sure you have spaces, that was what was messing it up for me for a while.

Thank you so much Ash! I finally got information to appear. I'm assuming it will be next week as well. Just waiting for the CEAC tracker to update with my case number but that takes a few days, I'm guessing.

Thanks again and happy Canada day! :)

Once he clicks submit the confirmation page will display, that's what he will need to print. It's only 1 sheet of paper, it will have his picture on it with his info and barcode. I cant remember where it was but I think at the end you do have the option to print out all the questions and your responses. Though that part isn't necessary. If you do print it for your records it displays in big letters at the bottom of each page to not bring to the interview. The only thing you do need is just that confirmation page.

If for some reason that confirmation page doesn't pop up automatically after you hit submit you are able to reprint it by logging back into your account using "retrieve an application" option.

I guess it is different requirements for different consulates. Your's is perfectly fine then without the picture. I found this other post and someone had the same question, another person from Brazil confirmed that you won't have the picture on the confirmation page and to just bring your passport photo to the interview.

Here's that link to the post!

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/472962-picture-question-on-ds160-upcoming-interview/

Ours we uploaded the photo right at the beginning if I remember correctly. You should be able to re log into your application to verify that everything is accurate and complete if you wanted to.

Hey all, I finally received my NOA2 hard copy:) I have a question as mine reads the following:

"The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance, or if you would like them to forward the petition to a different consulate..."

I thought all petitions were routed to the NVC first and then the consulate? Or is it being forwarded to the NVC implied in the above response? Did you have the same wording on your NOA2 hard copy?

Thanks in advance!!
