I apologize if it was discussed may times, I've tried to look through all topics, but did not find something that matches my story.

I've filed I-130 in March 2014 and my petition was approved, priority dates are in April 2014. My husband was going back and forth with non-immigrant visa all these years. Meanwhile I've filed N-400, I had an interview recently and it was approved. So now I am waiting for the letter about the Oath and etc.

So here is my problem. My husband had to stay longer than the B2 visa can allow, so we filed for the extension of stay (in January) and we are still waiting for the answer. He cannot live the country for some reasons and I do not know what to do next, because I am afraid that his stay here may appear illegal (although his B2-visa expires in September 2016, he is already much more than 180 days in the US)

Do you have any advices? Should he leave the country and wait for the immigration visa outside of the US or is it possible to handle it here?

Thank you in advance.
