Yuna! That is so exciting! congratulations!!

It sounds like I am up next. September 5th or 6th for me. By the beginning of October, at least most of us will be done.

I had checked my app last night, since I have been watching for everyone who had the same NOA1 date as me, and there is still someone left waiting on their NOA2. Heartbreaking. :(

So happy to see all of you guys with your fiance(e)s or ready to be. It's the best feeling!

Unfortunately we're going through some stuff. Remember how we were working on visas for Santys mom and brother? Well, Santys mom just passed away from cancer, so now we have to emergency expedite the AP for travel. We have our appt today. Hopefully they're able to give it to us ASAP.. Like.. Today. Lol. We want to fly out this week for the funeral.

Hope all of you guys are doing well! Keep us in your prayers if you can. 3 weeks til our wedding (non civil of course) and 1.5 months til the Ecuadorian one, so this hit us hard. Thankfully we've gotten a ton of support- physically and financially. We couldn't get the money ourselves, so we set up a gofundme, and people have been really helpful. It's been a huge blessing, so that's a positive!

Thank you guys so much. It's been hard on Santy but especially his brothers. They really want him there. Thank God we got the AP quickly, though. Made an info pass appt at our local office (luckily in my town), showed all our docs, and were given the AP papers a few hours later. The actual AP is going in the mail, but because we're traveling tomorrow they gave us re entry forms so that we didn't need to wait for the actual AP. They also gave us a letter to give at re entry. We leave tomorrow night. I'm not too thrilled about going... It's going to be really rough. :/

A question about the Affidavit of Support - my fiance is stuck on the employer letter, because he says all he can get from HR is an electronic link to pass on to whomever wants the info.

I said I think his boss can just write it up and sign it on company paper and he got frustrated, because he has never even *seen* anybody use company paper :-D

Now I was wondering what you guys had the USC bring for the employer letter?

They did not ask for my affidavit of support. However, You can provide your tax returns and your last 2 months of payment stubs. which is what I had prepared to give.

Yeah, I know that it is embassy specific. But my embassy is not being very specific. And getting answers from others from my embassy is unfortunately rather tricky to near impossible. There are few of us Austrians and the write-back-rate is rather poor.

We are mostly good on the supporting documents for the Affidavit, it is just the employment letter my fiance is unsure of.

They just ask for a "letter of employment" in the packet 3, when my fiance asked for one at work it turned out noone felt like it was their responsibility to write him one.

The whole original-print-out-with-wet-signature seems to not be the done thing at big tech companies, I guess :-D

So I am wondering what kind of format you guys had for your letter of employment? Did you type it yourself? What did you include? How much higher up was the person who signed it for you?

Thanks again :-)
