His interview is the day before mine! Woo! It's so soon!

Don't stress too much over those finer details! We only have a collection of photos and Skype call screenshots, too! Positive thoughts! See the light at the end of the tunnel, we're so close!! :)

YES, SO CLOSE!! Too bad we weren't on the same day!

Even though he only lives 30 minutes away from Montreal, we decided to make it a fun trip.... we got a hotel and we're going to La Ronde right after the interview :)

Seemed fitting to go ride some real rollercoasters after being on this visa rollercoaster ride for so long haha

and CONGRATS walrusbaby!!!!! :)

That's awesome! Such a perfect idea! A day of celebrating with roller coasters and all that screaming MUST be great stress relief! Hahah.

I live 5+ hours away from Montreal, and have decided that if I'm going to spend the money on the VIA and a hotel regardless, might as well bring my Mum and make a 'holiday' out of it! Any recommendations of things to do/eat/see?!

I liked the Montreal Biodome. Old Montreal is fascinating (but I love architecture). Haven't been to the Botanical Garden's yet, but it's on my list. I'm hoping we can do that Friday... and I think we're going to the Casino that night too.

As for food... I haven't been able to try too many different things in Montreal yet. Jonathan loves to cook so we usually eat in, but if we do eat out, I always get poutine. :)

I am starting to feel a little left out that I am the only Canadian going to Vancouver. I kind of want to go to Montreal now.

congrats Walrus Baby!! Your Visa! It was so fast!

I'm stressing out and trying to prepare for the big move. Or I guess first the medical in less than 2 weeks, and the interview in 27 days. I gave notice for my job. I work an overnight shift, so I gave 4 weeks. I technically will stop working 4 days before my interview. Risky, but I have hope. Plus I really, really need to leave this place. Lol. SO many countdowns!

Is anyone that is moving starting to stress out yet? I am sooo excited, yet the fear is sinking in now. I am leaving the only life I have ever known. So freaked out.

You must be a lot closer to Vancouver than Montreal? I don't really want to go to Montreal but unfortunately there is no other way!

I'm more stressed about the interview than the actual move haha! I'm really excited about the move, it will be so good finally live with my fiancé. It doesn't feel real yet.

Speaking of moving- Santy cried for the first time yesterday because of missing home. His dad lives in the UK and hasn't visited Ecuador in years. He just went back and brought his (new) family, and they had pictures on Facebook with Santys family at the beach and all. He felt left out and sad that he couldn't be there, and I felt sad for him, too. But I reminded him that they're coming here very soon to be there for him in his wedding, and soon we'll be in Ecuador for a second wedding! That made him feel better :) otherwise he's done pretty well transitioning into making here 'home'.. Other than the hot weather. He lived in the chilly mountains, so it's definitely a difference. But he likes being here and called it home before he even came back :)

Good luck to those with upcoming interviews! You'll be here before you know it!

Uh, YES! Ah! I am right there with ya! Everyone keeps telling me that it's natural/normal to be scared to make such a big move (and really, with so little time to fully prepare!) but I thought I'd be more excited and less stressed than I am! I think I'm most worried about not working. I've had to give my notice at work as well, and that scares the ####### out of me.

And I agree with @kasiz - it really, really doesn't feel real yet! Even with all the minor (and major) preparations and countdowns! Ah!
