I agree with all that April said! Def a good thing misspearls :) and April keep us posted! I hope you guys get the letter this week :)

It's almost like we aren't married since we're planning 2 weddings still, LOL! But it's all good!! AOS papers ready and getting sent on Monday! :) we're definitely excited about that but are scrambling to finish everything for the weddings, so it's been crazy. But we're so happy to be finished and not have to get all crazy over this. Now we can just relax (with the legal stress at least, lol!) for a while, so it's so nice to be at this point. Can't wait to hear all of your guys' progress and for you to be at AOS with us!

Jonathan's here! No problems at the border! We just spent a great, but extremely hot, weekend in Hershey, PA.

And we FINALLY got packet 3 and packet 4... so glad I did these ahead of time instead of waiting to get the official copies.

23 days until the interview!

PS - Congrats Allie!!! :)

Once my status said "ready", I waited a little while and when we still didn't get packet 3, I just looked up the packet 3 pdf on Montreal's website and submitted the documents. Then, when I didn't hear back about if they received it and didn't get packet 4, I emailed Montreal through their inquiry form and they told me they received everything and it was OK to schedule the interview and medical. :)

Lol JDWright! There probably is one from all the CSC oct filers!! They've probably gotten green cards already!

But guys I'm having a hard time w Santy being unemployed too. We need insurance. Badly. I have a root canal that needs to be done, and I'm in pain waiting for it! I don't want to have a wedding with my mouth like this, and santy most likely won't be able to work until after our sept wedding, and who knows what kind of benefits he'll get :(

And here's the thing.. I've been told obamacare doesn't usually have dental insurance or covers root canals, and even if they did, we can't afford to pay for the insurance. We're stuck and have no idea what to do. If anyone has any ideas, please PM me because I'm not happy about this :(

(Ps I'm a full time "permanent" nanny and don't get insurance. Blah. I had it thru my parents but now I'm "married" I don't have it anymore!)

Allie, you need to check out the exchange. Yes it's true a lot of insurances still don't have adult dental coverage through the ACA, however a lot of plans do offer coverage. You'd have to sort through which ones. BCBS does have dental coverage that you can add on for a nominal fee... something like 20 per month? I have it but, don't use it as my dentist doesn't participate and I'd rather not leave him. Of course you know the level of coverage on most dental plans aren't the best in the world - but you have a serious issue that needs to be addressed. Most dentists do use CareCredit so that you can pay off a large bill slowly. When I needed an emergency filling and an oral surgeon on my wisdom teeth that were completely shot, we set up a payment plan.

http://www.mouthhealthy.org/en/dental-care-concerns/affordable-care-act-checklist/

The both of you need insurance or you'll end up having to pay that penalty. The lower rate you get the higher your deductible, so you'll have to weigh that cost. Also... are you over the age of 26? You can stay on your parent's health care plan even IF you are married. https://www.healthcare.gov/young-adults/children-under-26/ Do you qualify for any medical assistance programs if you are in a lower income bracket? Your husband won't as an immigrant, but you would. There are also free dental clinics or dental schools which may give reduced rates.

Problem is, we're in serious debt so every penny goes to that. I literally have no more to spare for a monthly fee or to pay the remainder on a payment plan. I'm already in debt with our legal fees and my laser eye surgery and on a payment plan. :( I make $0 according to the gov but I live with my parents, and they make enough. I am under 26- I didn't know that! I can still be under it?! butttt then our insurance is going to charge me $700 for the root canal because it doesn't cover it all :( I feel like none of these options work because we can't afford them. My parents have loaned me a lot of money already, and I'm over my credit limit because of immigration. (Aren't I lucky?!)

hey I'm really sorry to hear this....It sounds so stressful....A couple of years ago i lost a pre molar tooth after drunken night out in ocean city! I was so broke from college but so self conscious about my tooth that I was freaking out....I wanted an implant but they were 2000$ so I ended up getting it done at the local dental university it was like 70% cheaper a 4th student with his professor looking over his shoulder ....might be worth a shot??

Sorry to hear about your situation Allie. *hug* Wish I could do more, I'm in medical so I see situations like this all the time and feel super powerless. Guess my hearts on my shoulder.

Today's the day, I'm getting ready to head to the embassy now, wish me luck.

I was waiting sooooo long to see a CO, but when I did get to see one he was ok, kind of cold not warm like the preprocessing lady. He asked where my fiance lived, what he does for a living and how we met. He read the how we met letter and said it's basically approved, but can't continue until I get him the one document I'm missing, when I get it in they will contact me about getting my passport to have the visa printed. :D

Wow!!!! congrats that's soooo great :) :) any advice re docs????
