So I got through to the NVC again today. I got through after about 200 tries, and talked to someone after NO wait for about 3 minutes... This guy said the standard it could take 35 days line. Then he asked if I emailed the I-797 to the nvcresearch email address. What is this? Did everyone do this? I don't understand...

Omg! I hope they haven't send our cases somewhere else.. ?

I'm going to try today..

It can't be real that they haven't received it yet..

Well, I should point that I wasn't exactly honest with them. So that I didn't get the standard "35 days" reply, I might have said we were waiting a bit longer. It has only been a week basically. I am going to try again tomorrow. Plus, it was weird how this phone call went. On Friday I got through, and talked to someone who transferred me and I sat on hold for an hour. Monday, someone picked up right away, didn't transfer me, and said that. So I'm not entirely sure if it the incorrect date I gave him (my approval date), or if he just didn't know what he was talking about.

I will panic if that is the case though...

If they haven't received our cases this week, then I think something is wrong.... No one is waiting the 35/42 days that they say this can take..

I've looked through a lot of the approved cases, and all of them have gotten their new case number from NVC less than a month after NOA2..

I will as well. I can't imagine us not getting the number in the next few days though. Today will mark the 3 week mark from getting my NOA2, and 8 days since it left for the NVC.

Unfortunately yes, TSC CAN take their time sending the applications, especially around holidays. Also there was recently technical issues involving the DOS so it may be unrelated, but it could be a reason for them being late (maybe they received them but couldn't process and put through the system yet?). I don't know, though! But don't panic! They say 35 days as a way to cover themselves if it takes longer. If you hit 30 days, then you should really look into it! Otherwise it's considered normal processing just like waiting 6+ months for a noa2 :( hope yours arrive there this week!!

Ps! It's a bit of a hit or miss with calling, too. Sometimes they'll give you info, and sometimes they'll be annoying. Don't know why that is lol! But once it gets to NVC you'll get a letter so even if they give you weird info, you should know when it's there!

How do I call USCIS and talk to a real person?? I want to know if they really sent it to NVC or they stupidly sent it to NRC....

I don't think that's the case (they send these applications all the time), but you have to give them time, unfortunately. USCIS will tell you on the site whether it was sent and when. NVC can also tell you when but like I said, it's a hit or miss sometimes. Calling USCIS will leave you just as frustrated, though. They'll give you the same info as on the check status site. Nope, they typically take at least 2 weeks from it leaving TSC. I've rarely seen it take less time on other timelines. And you won't get a letter until after it's there, which can take a week, as well. Again, NVC won't be much help until they receive your case, and that's most likely going to be at least 2 weeks.
