You're not whiny at all! If anything, I'm whiny! And I know I'm incredibly lucky to have been able to see my fiancé a month and a half ago. I'm so sorry that you haven't seen your fiancé in that long :( it's so disappointing; it really is. This is just putting so much stress on me. It's a constant disappointment. I started crying at the dentists office yesterday when they told me I might need a root canal... Of course that was upsetting, but on a normal day/week, I probably wouldn't have been THAT upset nonetheless cried in front of strangers. She asked me why I was so upset, and all I could say was I've just had a day. I've had a whole damn 9 months, really. (I didn't end up needing the root canal; just a 3 surface filling... Ouch.)

Ouch. Did they give you lots and lots of local anastesics?

Yesterday was dentist day then - I had two wisdom teeth pulled and when they sat me up and said I could get up whenever I wanted I started crying and they thought it was because of my teeth or that I was in pain, but it was really not.

In the state a lot of us are in right now, a lot of other stuff gets overwhelming pretty quickly. And it is just such a big relief to talk to others who understand :-)

The people around me, for example, have a hard time relly grasping how little control and transparency and rhyme or reason there is to this process.

Crossing fingers that they start moving at the DOS again really soon!

A-freaking-men. Everyone asks me and it's honestly starting to piss me off. They don't get it. I have NO idea when hes coming. I have no control over it and asking me makes me feel worse. I know they don't understand but it's just annoying. I can't plan anything or freaking do anything. This whole thing is so irritating.

Ps- yes plenty of novacaine but what hurt was that it was my last tooth, and it was deep, so they put a cap on it and that made my whole surrounding gum sore!!

Pps mena- thank you so much for your message. Sorry I haven't responded yet! But I'm going to!! :)

welcome ;-)

[off topic: keep taking painkillers! (if you can) No reason to suffer pointlessly and it means you are more likely to use your muscles and stuff. I am totally drugged right now and planning on staying that way for another day or two lol]

whenever someone asks me if I have heard anything I just say "don´t you think I would have shared that?" and give them a *look*. Then they get scared and leave me alone. I realize people are trying to help and show empathy, but sometimes the methods make me upset, even as I appreciate the sentiment.

Allie, I think we are all going through that. Or at least I need to believe we are. I'm depressed and sad all the time, he's depressed and angry all the time. We rarely talk and spend most of our time, for lack of a better word, pouting.

Oh, and OH MY FREAKING GOD. I HATE, HATE, HATE the constant "When do you leave?" questions. I will tell you WHEN AND IF I ever find out. Do people, even my own father, think I would just say not say anything? Really? Those questions make me even more annoyed.

I agree and think we're all going through similar things right now. It blows my mind actually, because part of me really thought that the longer we were apart, and the closer we got to the end of this process, the easier it would become! When in fact, it's almost the opposite!

And the questions! My God!! Hahaha. "When's the wedding?!" "What do you mean you don't know!?" AHHHHH!

I keep having to explain to my fiancé that I'm sorry for being so bummed lately, but that I may just stress-pop an eyeball....

Sorry I didn't respond to these! Anxiety has kept me from even talking about it now :( But yes!! I agree with all of this! So many frustrations surrounding this unknown, unpredictable stage. My bosses ask me LITERALLY EVERY DAY. "Any word on Santy?" "When's he coming?" "Any news on the visa?" No, No, and NO. Like, when you know, you will know because I will be the happiest person in the world. Otherwise, I'm not, so don't ask! Hahaha. I know they just want to know, but like you guys say, the uncertainty really isn't fun to talk about with people who don't get it.

Somewhat of good news- other than the fact that the DOS fixed all of its posts all over the world, our consulate said they think they'll be printing the visa on Monday or Tuesday. Still later than we wanted, and who knows if that'll actually happen, but thinking about it happening soon keeps my head afloat, I guess.

I really hope this process ends for all of us soon. Everyone, please keep us all updated on your progress! I like hearing happy endings to what has been a torturous 8+ months for all of us :) <3

So I nearly had a 'slit my wrists' moment last night, our co sponsor pulled out. But by some divine providence my fiances manager messaged and asked him if he wants to take up an assistant manager post. Just so happens the pay bump puts him right in the pink, don't need a co sponsor now :D. Just means I need to get a new i134 from him now, but there's time still waiting on my medical.

Is there a relation between dental problems and K1 applications? I just had 2 crowns fitted right after receiving the letter from the consulate.

For those people who like to wait on filling out there DS-160 (Like me) DON'T!!!!

It's a lot more questions and research than it used to be. And if you are like me and can't remember a single date, it actually takes some time. I'm just glad we did jump start the I-134.

As for the constant barrage of "when, why, how" questions. I have now started just throwing some dates out there. That seems to keep most of them quiet.

We're at Montreal but we haven't heard anything from them at all yet. I got the packet 3 PDF from the website and just emailed it yesterday. Hopefully, he'll get packet 4 soon. But I heard that Montreal is one of the slowest so we'll see!

Any word on if the consulate received your Packet 3 e-mail? I am itching to send mine off before actually receiving anything from them (electronic or otherwise) but am apprehensive to do so. Please keep us all updated!

We haven't heard anything yet! And still no "official" Packet 3 email or mail though. I'm hoping it was OK to email it without getting the official email. Our status said READY so I figured we could send it.

So I got through to the NVC again today. I got through after about 200 tries, and talked to someone after NO wait for about 3 minutes... This guy said the standard it could take 35 days line. Then he asked if I emailed the I-797 to the nvcresearch email address. What is this? Did everyone do this? I don't understand...
