Messenger online chat as evidence?

Besides daily phone calls, we have been regularly using yahoo messenger to chat online.

Would it make any sense to include some of the printouts of those chats along with the

petition to supplement the ongoing relationship evidence (phone bills, letters, emails, money

transfers, gifts, flowers)?

Yes I did send a chat log from Skype, and Yahoo. Anything that shows communication helps. Money transfers may not be such a good idea, it tends to look like you are buying a bride.

hmm ..didnt think of money transfers that way. I did buy her an airline ticket - what about that - I was thinking thats more like a gift?

How did you get Yahoo logs - the yahoo messenger only prints one page?

Take screen shots of the program. On windows <alt><Print Screen> then paste into word pad, or paint, then print.

And USCIS, and interviewing officer at the consulate can think of money transfers that way. I bought my fiancee her ticket, in the states, all she has to do at the airport is show passport and get the eticket, or I could have mailed her the ticket.

If regular yahoo chat, you can go to contacts, archives,and save each day, then print.

Showing her ticket stubs and passport stamps would be a good thing, but how the ticket was purchased sounds acceptable, and sounds more like a gift.

Melinda and I took our many Yahoo chat sessions with us and they never looked at them. That being said, I would take them if I was you as you never know what they are going to ask for!

I am kinda in the same situation @apgk,I sent in chat archieves also.They did not say anthing so it should be ok.

aw i dont know i have many many many pages, from every day we talk, the entire conversation beginning to end,i save in archive i give name as that date, do same next day, and print when i got ready. I sent some, was way to much for interview, but if they come back and want more i have

If you are just starting process, only few emails, chats will be fine. Other evidence is more important that u met (not talk online)

Are you saying just to get the print screen of your computer and you will take it every day or for some days - hmm..where will it say the date on this screen shoot?

I was thinking of just taking the printouts of the yahoo archive. The darn thing only prints one page for each chat log.

If you try to cut and paste and try to put that chat in word or notepad, you loose the fonts and formats and what not.

So I am just going to send one-page printouts for each chat sessions. Will pick one or 2 chat sessions for each months, will choose 6-7 months.
