fiance has two convictions of CIMT (fraud - failure to pay for rental car) and embezzlement (did not turn over company money meant to pay for meals at a restaurant). He paid fines for both. I did the K-1 visa application without a lawyer, no problem. But for the waiver application I'm going with a laywer. As soon as I earn his fee, he'll be on the case.

Best wishes to you. Hope things work out. We did our own waiver but I do understand if you would rather use a lawyer. I might have used a lawyer but we just didn't have the money to do it. It did work out and we were approved but it was very nerve wrecking.

Hope your journey is a smooth one.

I'm glad to hear yours worked out. This whole process has been nerve wracking. So I want to relax (a little) and have it done by a lawyer though I will have to work a lot of hours to pay for that. $1850 at least.. He says all his waivers have been successful.
