Doesn't he also need to be accepted by the school first as well?

Even if you got it, you realize he has to fly home for the interview right?

Yes, he needs to be accepted by the school first. And he wouldn't start until the fall semester (unless taking summer classes).

It's a LANGUAGE INSTITUTE at a University that I have spoken to even a year ago. They accept every applicant (so long as the paperwork is in order).

Yes, I know he would have to fly back for the interview, that would be possible, a stretch in the budget but possible.

It's a LANGUAGE INSTITUTE at a University. They have summer sessions and multiple, varied length sessions during fall and spring semesters.

He will have to prove that he has enough money for his studies, food, everything. If he is short on money then he has to have a sponsor.

And unless he takes classes in the summer he won't start school until around September. You guys filed in January which means by September you have waited 8 months. I know all cases are different but I got approved in 7 months... You might just want to focus on saving money.

His brother would be willing to fill out the proper forms to show support for studies. He's not applying to a university and the cost for these courses are EXTREMELY reasonable.

As for the rest of what you said, see my other replies. lol

But thank you once again for your advice!

September would be the NOA2 though, right? Followed by a few more months. :clock:

Thank you for your advice. :)

After NOA2 and as soon as it's gone through NVC it's all up to you guys how long it will take. For me it took 1 month and 3 days from NOA2 to approved visa. I had all the paperwork done (thanks to info here on VJ) before even receiving the checklist from the embassy. I might have been able to do it sooner if it wasn't for the fact that I was in the states until April 21st. Had my medical April 27. Interview May 5th.

So like I said, it's up to you guys how long it should take after NOA2 basically and of course depends on available interview dates.

It depends more on the country I believe.

Yes, it also different from country to country, how many people apply for a visa kind of determines when you'll get an interview. In most European countries the process is pretty fast once you get to the embassy stage.
