Timeline

so i guess there are couple days left (give or take) before the processing timelines are updated. i have been checking everyday this week to see if maybe they will update them early this month.

i do realize that these times are really not observed by USCIS, but they do give us a somewhat knowledge of how far along we are.

any one else waiting on their toes for the update?

If you read paragraph two (this is my local office Boston), they explain that the processing times reflect their service goal and not the actual dates of applications that they are processing. I'm thinkng that is why most of the offices seem to be processing AOS applications received in July. The good thing (I guess), is that there is a chance that they are actually processing the applications a lot faster than it appears.

I think the processing dates are most useful once you've fallen 30 days outside of them, because then you can inquire about your case status and at least they are REQUIRED to give you some sort of answer....

Even if it is....don't call us....we'll call you..... :clock:

Don't stress the processing dates, they basically #######. Completely meaningless. Honest!

My AOS case was processed several months earlier than was indicated by the "now processing" dates for my DO. As you had an RFE you can trust those dates even less. You're still so early in the process, just relax and try to forget about it for a while. I know its hard, but honestly best way is to cut down the number of things you check, and those damn processing dates should be the first thing you dump. ;)

i think what rebecca said, that it is helpful to see if you are out of the processing times, then you can contact uscis without them telling you it is still too early. and even though your call might not get you anywhere, but i think it will still be noted by them.

Yes, my point is that its stil early days and you have many, many months before you're far enough past those dates for the misinformation hotline to even give you the time of day. Most likely before you get close to those dates, you'll have your interview date and maybe your Green Card in hand.

Note, they will still tell you its too early even if you're past your processing date, you're always 90 days away from the misinformation hotline doing anything. Its how they roll. Luckily you don't have to be 30 days past your processing dates to get an infopass.

well, i guess with our luck, the 17th of this month was on a weekend that is followed by a federal holiday on monday and therefore the processing times have not been updated. hopefully they will update them tomorrow (even though i doubt) or on wednesday at the latest so that we can see where uscis is at.

i know i have been advised to be patient, but i still cannot help myself and go check uscis's website every couple hours to see if they updated them. i know this won't do me any good and will simply drive me crazy, but it's either check my status online or checking the processing time, and since i know that my status is not changing anytime soon, all i have left is the processing time. lol

cheers

And with them not posting until all the DOs report; I wouldn't hold my breath. Tuesday is Mardi Gras. I doubt that New Orleans will be up to date. The city practically shuts down. My daughter gets a week off from school.

All that being said...I feel your pain. My last update moved back two months!

It took 4 months from the receipt date till my wife was approved and recieved her conditional green card. The AOS was sent to Chicago, then went to Kansas City, and ended up in California. It was approved by the California Service Center.I hope removing the conditions will go just as smooth.

They used to in the good old days. However, I suspect that Vermont caused so much grief for everyone else that they changed the whole process.
