Embracing aliens: Wells Fargo offering home loans to illegals

I'm glad I don't do my banking with Wells Fargo or Bank of America. If my current bank moves this direction, I'll be pulling my accounts there and start stashing my cash somewhere else.

They probably already do and it just hasn't been advertised. I used to work in the banking industry and this isn't something new. It's been going on for longer then you would think. You might just be better off stuffing your cash in your mattress or burying it in the back yard.

I so agree with that. We were just turned down by one lender for a mortgage because my husband doesn't have his green card yet. ARGH!!!! Still, we would do things legally. It just makes me madder than a wet hen to have this happen. We're not done yet though, there's a lender out there somewhere....

I so agree with that. We were just turned down by one lender for a mortgage because my husband doesn't have his green card yet. ARGH!!!! Still, we would do things legally. It just makes me madder than a wet hen to have this happen. We're not done yet though, there's a lender out there somewhere....

Seems about right...this will never get resolved until we get rid of the two party system and actually get some people in office that care for the American people, and not just their votes...I don't want to deport illegals, then the legal hispanic population will note vote...it is just stupid and one more gripe about our great country...but it is still better than any other.

Hopefully many illegals get deported and the banks are stuck with a huge bill...but then again that is some sort of tax right off for them.

I am glad i pulled my account out of Wells Fargo long ago I will never bank with them again lol. I will never step one foot in a Bank of America either how stupid of them giving out loans to illegals when there are other people who cant even get a loan. They are just letting Mexico own a piece of American land just wrong.

I don't understand this. Javier has no problem getting loans. He just bought a new truck all by himself without even putting my name on the account. They didn't even ask him for his greencard. He's already on our mortgage. Been on it since before he got his greencard. They never even asked for it. I guess it must just depend on the bank.

I don't understand it either. I'm certainly not making this up though. It's not just one bank...it's lots of banks. They seem afraid to lend to anyone who isn't an LPR. At least around here. Believe me, I wish we could find the luck that Javier has obviously found. *sigh*

Not really. Presumably the National Identification Cards wouldn't prevent a business from conducting transactions with whomever it chose (otherwise every tourist spot in the U.S. would die), and that would include financial and real estate transaction.

This is totally understandable. When they are not paying any income taxes they are obviously going to have quite a bit of cash left over to spend on stuff. Most public services are free such as sending their kids off, for free, to taxpayer funded schools etc.
