Is using James Shortcuts beneficial for the K3 process?

It is my understanding that a K3 moves quicker through the NVC. Or is James Shortcuts better to use for the CR1?

You can't use the shortcuts for the K3, because there aren't any The I129F is only at the NVC for a week or so, then it is forwarded to Vancouver or Montreal where it is processed.

Have you had any action on your I129F?

The packet 3 from Vancouver is pretty straight forward.

Oh, here's the list of stuff:

Vancouver deals with faxing the checklist back including faxing back a filled in DS-230 (part 1). Key is to fax the DS-230 (part 1) and checklist back ASAP.

Checklist:

- passport

- medical exam (make appointment)

- birth certificates (long form)

- marriage certificate

- divorce and death certificates

- police certificate

- court and prison records

- photographs (5)

- documents for children

- translations

- fee $100

Bring to interview a filled out DS-156 from http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi_forms.html and all supporting docs (originals and copies) along with your DS-230 original and part 2 (don't sign it or date it, you do that at the interview).

They don't ask for a I-134 but being paranoid, we already filled one out and notarised it and have all the supporting documents for that too.

Also there is a place to put down "requested date" for your interview. I just put down "earliest interview date available". I also emailed them the day after to "check" to see if they received my fax okay and if so, if they set a date. They emailed back within a couple of hours with a date and time. I should be getting packet 4 any day now.

Of course I'm all calm right now, but you know I'll be freaking out just before my interview

What is in packet 4? The inteview date? More papers to fill out?

Packet 4 is the official letter with interview date. You need it to get into the consulate for your interview.
