NVC forms portal - unable to sign in to fill out DS 260/261 for over 1 week

I emailed all the documents back in late Apr per NVC instruction, and was notified after a month that I need to select an agent first, which was totally outrageous as I did that in March. I called and they fixed tt but then I was blocked by the IV fee payment and no access to DS-260. I called them again last week and they told me they "have everything but the DS-260". Now that I submitted DS-260, would they review it along with all my document they have? Also on the NVC page of my case, next to IV Fee (now "PAID) and IV Application (now "COMPLETED"), there is a column of Civil Documents (now "N/A"). Should it be something other than N/A to show they have the documents? Anybody has any experience?

Last July 17? No kidding...

Under Civil Documents and AOS document, NVC portal will always show N/A. This feature is not implemented in NVC portal yet.

Hi susdan7 see i did not submitted my hubby did..however for what saw it wont lead u to any link..just click on get started and then it will show u like a paragrhaf with policies etc......so u have to checkmark in the litle box that says i certify.... so good luxkk........

I'd call them and make them aware of it. It does seem like an 'error'.

yes i call them today and still they are saying they are working to fix their system continuously check !!

Oh ok i see , it looks like your DS-260 is not unlock yet , usually it takes a week or less to unlock it after the payment is received but due to the website issue it could have delayed it . you have to call them and have them unlocking it for you

Well on my case it says the same N/a however when u sent ur documentation u were suposse to receive the famous nvc 60 days letter ...so i think for everybody shows the same but i sont think it means nothing...good luck my friend

In my case, the documents were sent two months ahead of DS-260 submission, and I see several people are of the similar situation. Hope NVC can recognize this and reconcile everything. I really hate to see that in 30 days they only come back to ask for all the "missing" documents which they received earlier, and I either re-send or call to explain, and have to wait another 30 days for them to review.

Can you access the agent part? It's shown as INCOMPLETE and need to be done first.

Hi everybody the nightmare go on i have 30 days exactly my ds260 was submitted and still havent reviewed.....what a sueprise.....it looks like my husband will have to come down and wait wait with me....lady from nvc told me...there are ds260 forms which were submitted in feb or may 2015 and havent been reviewed either.....what a hope......god bless all of u...

Really .....well i never had that issue however there were some people who had it and i dont know how they did...what dis nvc tell u? I really hope u get this resolve.

After you received the email from NVC with your case number, it takes 1-2 weeks for NVC to enter it into portal, so it is normal for this to happen. You can call NVC to verify it. I would just go back and check the portal every day to see if it opens up.

I got nothing from NVC. What happens that I E-mailed the Embassy asking about my Packet 3 and that's what I got

Kindly note that in order to proceed with her case, she needs to provide us with the following documents:

1. New DS260 form

Effective September 1, 2013, the DS-260 Immigrant Visa Electronic Application will replace the paper-based DS-230 Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (parts I and II). Hence, you should complete the new on line DS-260 application form available of the following website: https://ceac.state.gov/iv/.

Please fill out My Invoice ID Number is field with the number that will be given to you by the NVC and you can contact the NVCinquiry@state.gov to get this number. Once you complete the form on line, you should notify us directly through the following email: consularcairoiv@state.gov. We will then process your case to conclusion.

2. Medical Examination

Once she do that, she may contact us so that we can schedule her so she can sign in front of the officer at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.

I think IV fee comes later. I was told these are the steps:

step I. call and get case and invoice number

step 2. fill out Ds-261 choice of agent form

step 3. pay AOS fee

step 4. send in AOS and IV packets

Step 5. call and have the NVC review the DS-261 if they have not done it yet. keep calling till they do, some agents will tell you they can not, but it can be review over the phone

step 6. pay the IV fee

step 7. fill out the DS-260 visa application form

step 8. wait for case complete which should not be much longer

The AOS and IV packets is the proof of residence and sponsor income information right? You dont need to add the form ds-260 with it? I thought I had to wait till I got a recipt of paying and fill out DS-260 form to send in our information package
