I Recentely good married. I went to brazil to see my GF and we got married. I applied to K-1 4 month ago. Just now USCIS to NVC. She should receive a letter in 2 weeks from now. do you guys think that I will have to apply to K3 or can i stick with the k1 ?

You should go ahead and call USCIS to let them know that you don't want to persue the K1 Visa application. You will have to apply for K3 instead. K1 is ONLY a fiancee visa and you two are now married.

Too bad you couldn't wait... you'd be together sooner. Now you have to start over and apply for K3 which will take another 3-4 months from the time you file..

K-1 is only for fiancees. Once you got married, she was no longer your fiancee and no longer eligible to receive a K-1 visa. You need to apply now for a spousal visa.

I concur. You would have to cancel your K1 and either apply for the CR-1 or the K3. Whatever you decide you would first have to complete the I-130 and once you recv your NOA1 you can go ahead and apply for the K-3 by submiting the I-129f.

MeLvis, yes you will have to give up the K-1 and go for a k-3. But first, may I suggest that you educate yourself on what you are doing. I can't believe you would have gotten married if you had understood the ramifications of doing so. So please, read the guides and ask questions. There are plenty of people willing to help...
