I would of just had your girl take a taxi and save the money if she lived in or near Manila. And I sure wouldn't be paying $67 for a hotel in the Philippines, but that is me. If you could find safe hotels for around 800 peso near the Embassy, then I would stay. But in your case I would of just had her take a taxi.

I'm with the original poster as the convenience has a price, besides were only talking $67. Staying there obvious gave them comfort on what could be a stressful day. Bottom line it's his money.

I will also be looking at this hotel to book next month for the location. Likewise you have every right to book your place as it comes down to a personal decision.

Pretty expensive for Philippines in my opinion

If the sea is Manila Bay it like a toilet, Full of trash

A fair bit cheaper than the Conrad in HK I booked for our outbound trip in June.

Not really interested in the sea view, but it happens to coincide with the embassy view so I can watch the line build in the morning before walking over, and considering my wife is 6 months pregnant, I'd rather avoid long waddles to the embassy........

better yet i should of just had her take a jeepney then a bus like she usually does when she goes some where

Why don't you buy her or yourself a motorbike and keep it there, that way you will have transportation when you are there. They are fairly cheap for a New Honda Motorbike and sip the gas......
