Once you get your case number...it's ALL on you guys. You can fill out your DS-260 right then and there, you can schedule your interview AS SOON as you complete the Ds-260, and then you can pre-register at St. Lukes for you medical. It's pretty much up to you how fast you want to move after getting your case numbers..

Hi aquafiree! I opened the ceac website to start my ds-260 but I have not started filling it up because I read first instructions. It says there about confirmation code I have to print after submitting to NVC since I don't have a printer ready here with me. I don't want to submit my IV application without my confirmation code. and I have to make sure I have everything like documents on hand before starting im kinda worried about their disclaimer that if you provided wrong information your application may be rejected and you will be ask to pay again. I think before starting the IV application I have to make sure first all necessary information on each questions. so I printed a hard copy of Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration.

what about regarding the Social Security Number. the last 2 questions.

If I want a Social security number and a card. I answered YES

If I authorize disclosure of information to the Dept. of homeland security and others for the purpose of assigning to me a SSN. I answered YES

you dont have to worry about that because the documents that you goin to prepare will be submitted during your interview at the embassy, nothing goes to nvc.

thanks aquafiree. what did you do next? how can I pre register to st. lukes for medical? and how to schedule my interview? are you done all these things already?

It says wait for 30 business days for nvc to review your ds 260 application. I know we can go ahead and schedule everything right? hope you or your wife get visa soon.
