No immigration issues, they have their 10 year green cards so are good to go.

They do need to notify USCIS of their change of address.

How long have you been married?

Then she will be able to remove conditions on her own after Divorce. 14 years and 3 children will be plenty of evidence to self petition.

What I want to know is, if your wife does not speak English, how in the world did she possibly communicate that you were abusing her to a police officer?

It is easy to do. call them talk in broken english and they will find interpreter.

Just move with your life. we know it is hard to do but that is only option at this time.

Sorry to hear the news...but think about this...

A mother of you 3 children do not simply run away to uncomfortable and strange shelter living

while in unfamiliar foreign country with limited English unless something very serious

have occurred at home...if not physically...then verbally.

Her being in shelter will make communication difficult (for obvious protection reasons),

but the door is not completely shut if you really want to have a chance to reunite.

Consider getting some counseling yourself. First to cope with the situation,

and to find deeper strength and wisdom to sincerely apologize for what has happen

so that they can accept you as a loving and caring husband and father...instead of the opposite.

Good luck and keep us posted...

Very strange situation. If you guys had been together for a few months than I would understand what happened, but 14 years 3 kids, there must be more to this story. Is there a reason you didn't petition for them when you were a GC holder?

In all honesty man, if you really want your family back, all you can do is wait for your wife to contact you and try to patch everything up when she does contact you. Chasing your wife and your kids at shelters will only make you look like more of an abuser.

By the way what country are you from and what country is your wife from?

I didn't think GC holder could petition a spouse.

They certainly can. Have a bit of a wait.

Seems they were in a long term relationship and only got married about the time he naturalised. What GC holders can not do is the K1.
