Does this mean his green card is being produced????

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO

ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On February 14, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30

days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will

contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You

can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow

the link below to register.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status

results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within

the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at

(800) 375-5283.

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

AFAIK you do not have to. However, having the "valid for employment only with DHS authorisation" removed will make his life easier. I'll have to do it as well....

Thanks everyone!!!! Peter just got his social security card on the premise of the EAD. Do I have to do anything with that social security card now that he's here on a Green Card???
Yes once you have Green card, visit SSA office and have the "With Work Authorization" Restriction removed, also if and when status changes to naturalized citizen you should again visit SSA to inform them of this change in immigration status.
