wife cheated on me at last moment

I have this latest update ( not development). A month ago my wife asked me to pick her from her apartment to help to go court to finalize the divorce. I picked her and she asked how am I doing I said I am okay and I asked her how is she doing "she started telling her story and telling me she and her boyfriend fighting and once she called cops on him. Then she telling me I always treated her well. I kept listening. She said she is hungry and wants to go for breakfast. We went to subway. She started crying and telling me "why you did wrong brought me to this point and I am stuck". I asked what have I done and she told me don't play you are nice person". Then we walked to court room and she asked me to drop her back to her house. I asked what happened now and she told me " where she goes she will think of me because I treated her well". I told there is nothing left in our marriage. She said still; she wants time to think and it is big decision for her. To avoid any scene I dropped her back and since then I haven't heard from her. She is too much unstable in her life. A very big mess.

Unstable indeed. You should have avoided all contact with her, except in the presence of witnesses. Did the divorce proceed, or not?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

She and me have to be in court to sign our divorce decrees ( that's when she changed her mind). I don't contact her but I thought that since it is last day in our lives so that she do not have any excuse that why she doesn't show up at court house; I agreed to pick her up. After that day I have not contacted her, thought she will have some other story to tell me.

Certainly in Colorado you do not have to both appear in Court. Uber comes to mind.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Hey! How are you doing? Have you settled in? Do you like your new life here?

P.S. - Stay away from that woman

Oh thanks for asking. I am doing great, busy in work as always, lol. I have couple of trips lined up. I met some amazing people with whom I am trying to stay in touch. Also I was using meet up application to go and meet new people and make some friends here. So basically everything is good till now.

Yeah I am staying away from here. I don't know what to say about here. It is completely messy situation. To get out of such scenario is to stay away from her and I am staying away.

Well Im very glad to hear that you are doing well. I dont know if there is anything to really say about the situation with your ex. For some people moving on is a slow process. Im glad you werent sucked into her drama and taken by the 'you are such a good guy and I regret things line'. Because that can easily lead to a 'lets try again' and there is no future for you with her.

Hey Damara, glad to see you too. I am doing well because of you and other VJ's who left no stone in providing me great guidance.

Yes true there is no future with her, I am hoping my divorce get finalize soon, but don't now... I won't lie, it was very difficult for me to leave her and not to go back but I maintained to stay firm and not to get suck up again. If I would be with her, you guys would have seen my posts all the time. Still trying to bring myself together and I am sure I will do much better. Everything will be good soon. Wishing you the best life. I will never forget the way you helped me with your detail posts.

Well Im really hoping your divorce comes through sooner rather then later. Theres only so much dragging of the feet one side can do. Eventually it will be approved whether shes happy with it/ sure about it/ wants it to happen. I know many of us on VJ are waiting for your post saying you got the final decree in the mail and are done!!

I know its tough but you did the right thing and still are. There are few things that are certain in life but its pretty certain that if you were still with her- your life would be full of trouble.

Its not unusual for ex's to pop up now and then. Honestly I blame Adele and her recent success. Shes got songs like never mind, I'll find someone like you..Don't forget me... And the newest- Hello, it's me..do you want to meet and go over everything.. Its like umm no. Theres a reason we broke up!

Hello Guys,

Question about 1040,

I am going to file the taxes and I was going through 1040.

what should I mention in 1040 in filing status? I guess married but filling separately right ? but then it asks for Spouse's SSN number.

In short what should I do where it ask for spouse's information.

Hello Guys,

what should I mention in 1040 in filing status? I guess married but filling separately right ? but then it asks for Spouse's SSN number.

In short what should I do where it ask for spouse's information.

in the divorce decree, there should be wording as to who files what under what status.

if the divorce is not finalized and there are no instructions about tax filing in the temporary orders or the petition,

then it's going to be 'common courtesy' event, where you choose or the two of you choose which filing status. You don't want to trip each other up - ie - one of you files married filing separately and the other files married filing jointly.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thanks Darnell, I will talk to her parents. Usually they file taxes for her. Of course; I will choose to file in the option given as "married but filling separately" but in that too; they have a box which as for "SPOUSE SSN" . Should I leave it blank. That's what I want.
