God works in mysterious ways - there's always a shot at reconciliation. Just because a divorce petition is filed, it doesn't mean one must actually go through with the divorce. Still, if'n you two wanted to work on it, make a joyous marriage, it's gonna take work to overcome these dalliances. If you feel the amount of work is meaningful, suggest to her that you two attempt to reconcile. Otherwise, shoot through with the divorce proceedings.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

I am very forgiving person. But thing is I don't know when she get angry and for what and to take revenge she get into some other trouble. I am still hoping but none in my contact suggest me to go back. Part of me wants to. Her parents wants me to be with her but they also knows what just happened. I think if anyway there I would have controlled the situations but nothing was in my hand. I agree with you divorce filled is not end of everything at the same time she is very very unstable person. If I keep my hopes up with her and getting her back it hurts me and causes me depression. I do still worry for her ( knowing this everyone will call me stupid). I am leaving everything on god. She realized her mistake was very big thing.

I went to USCIS office and they told me that I can still travel since I have I-551 stamp on it. My green card yet to come. I have no choice and it is my job. My landlord are very good people and formal police officer. They supported me emotionally a lot in my very difficult time. I already asked them that as soon as they receive green card they have to mail me at my singapore address. I have other Id as social security and texas driving licence. Hope it shouldn't be problem. I made sure with immigration officer multiple times that is there will be any problem they said not at all.

I think you're better off not having the green card mailed, and use the I-551 stamp, if the IO said it's still valid.

Alternatively, ask your landlord to mail a copy of the green card, or at least to make a copy of it before mailing it to you. Also, ask him to use DHL or one of these couriers if he's mailing the original. You don't want to have your green card lost on the mail while you are outside the country.

Take it slow. Give yourself some time to heal and stay separated for a while. Stabilize yourself around your new life and your new job. Develop a social circle that don't include her or her parents. I was in a similar situation (ending relationship after moving countries) and the hardest part was that everyone I knew is related to the ex, so I kept being dragged to her drama.

If anything, she needs time herself to figure out what she truly wants, and show that with actions, not words. Believe me, one day you'll be laughing at how ridiculous the whole situation was.

I understand. I only wrote to note that you have choices. Been there, done that, wrote a screenplay about it, and sold it. Writing it helped me purge that pain, but that was in another lifetime, ages past.

I not suggest you jump quickly. I only suggest that even with such large confliction and disparity of paths, reconciliation is possible and it's not immediate.

It is not immediate (repeated for emphasis) .

I say it's not neccessary, all these machinations to get the physical card,

as

the I-551 stamp suffices.. Seriously..

kkk1 - ask the landlord to hold on to the greencard, not mail it around. Sure, SingPost is absolutely amazing, once the packet gets past the airport, but that's not the point. IMO/E, it's just too risky.

Noted. I will ask to hold it. Thank you so much. In fact thanks to all the wonderful advice I gained here. Being unknown to me all have helped me like I am best friend o everyone here. That's the amazing relationship visa journey give.

Does anyone knows how to check the status of green card on USCIS website.

Everytime I asked USCIS, they told me that it is in process and it will take another 15 days to 30 days. I haven't received yet. I will come back in September to US and then I have several other trips in October.

I just found out from USCIS, that my green card has been delivered to some other address and even city also is not correct. I have already created service request, they told me it will take another 30 days to answer. What should I do other than that?? I am still in Singapore, following that I have UK trip. I will be in US on 10th of September.

I talked to supervisor at USCIS, and she told me that it is been returned to them but within a month it will be redelivered and I need to pay attention with tracking number they have provided and talk to USPS. I don't know but it does sound weird to me. Please advice me.

i had this exact problem,

wound up using the us congressman's constituent liason human to get it sorted with uscis, sent to the proper address. not a quick solution, but since the green card is sitting at the Texas Service Center, it's safe for now.

--query - did the Tier 2 human get the new address from you or no?
