It is long time I didn't post here. Actually very tried from longggggg waitttttt. Hope all brothers & sisters are fine here in the forum. Today is exactly 6 months I had my interview and still no news. Waiting for marriage certificate verification from Dhaka Embassy. It is now 6 months still they don’t have time to verify the marriage certificate, though it is only one hour matter. Our marriage register office and US Embassy in the same city and only 15 min drive.

Any way, I believe it is Allah’s choice and Inshallah he will make it easy….

Please pray for us…..

Thanks to all

Have you bugged the embassy about ways you could speed things up? Or at least emailed them every few weeks to remind them that you're still around?

I admire your patience and reliance on Allah (swt). I know I'd be tearing my hair out at this point.

I'm sorry for the wait, that's absolutely ridiculous! I know you've probably already done everything you can, but have you tried your senator/representative? This sounds like the kind of situation where you really need someone to say, "Hey, look at this file, it's been sitting around for 6 months!"

I hope it resolves soon....

Bro BRR I am very sad to hear of this seemingly endless delay in resolving your case.... there is really no acceptible reason for such a lengthy wait. Insha'allah you will prevail very soon.

I had been wondering how you are doing, so thank you for the update, although it is not yet the news we had hoped for. My thoughts and prayers with you and your wife Eva Ahmed.... may your separation be ended very soon.

Allah with you both always.

Yesterday My wife sent an email to Dhaka Embassy, she wanted to know what is the position of our marriage certificate verification, Dhaka Embassy replied her as follow :

Dear Ms. Ahmed

Thank you for contacting us. Please note that we have not completed our verification process yet. We are unable to provide you with specific information regarding the progress of the process at this stage nor can we provide you any specific time frame on the administrative process but we will contact you as soon as the process is complete. In the mean time we appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter. I hope this information is helpful.

Regards.

Awwww...this just sucks! I'm sorry, and I had wondered where you are. Its easy to feel overwhelmed with the wait, but it will happen. Hang in there and know that our prayers are with you.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

Dhaka. Grrrr  It seems they are even worse than Casablanca. It would be so nice if this consulate would decide to finish with your case sometime this century.

Bro BRR, my thoughts and prayers with you and your wife. You deserve much better than you have received.

Allah with you both always.

Our prayers are with you...may God keep you strong and provide you with patience...I am baffled at the amount of time it tackes for the process to get competed...It is truly a disgrace that your journey is halted at this very point...it breaks my heart...stay well and try your best to hang it there...May your faith be your guide and love your companion on this desolate path... (F)

Blessings,

Dorothy
