Hi, Visa Journey users!

My question is in regards to filing the Affidavit of support form I-864. My current situation is my Fiancé isn't working at the moment and our joint sponsor has now just been let go from their job. I'm going for my interview in Montreal next week. Now Should I still go to my interview? If they ask about my affidavit of support form do I just explain the situation and notify them that I will find another joint sponsor by a given date? I've already postponed my interview twice and feel to just go at this point . All my documents including the I-864 form have been filled out and are ready to go. What should I do at this point? What are my options? I'm so confused and stressed at the moment. Answers would be great thanks!

hi

is the interview for K1? because the i864 is for when your filing adjustment of status in the US

the affidavit of support for K1 is the i134,

they could give him time to get a joint sponsor, but it isn't much time

Hi there,

I apologise, I'm mixing up the forms. My question is regarding the I-34 form for affidavit of support. What do I do at this point? I see you stated they can give me time to find another joint sponsor. Is the probability of them allowing me to find another sponsor good? Will my application be put on yet another hault? Thank you in advance for your answers.

Why don't you ask your questions in the Canadian forum using the proper form number in the title. They would be more familiar with what typically happens at K1 interviews in Montreal and Vancouver when an Affidavit of Support is lacking. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/93-canada/

Filll out your profile so people don't have to guess the visa and consulate. Or at least cover that in your post. Each consulate does things slightly different with K1s so seeking answers from Canadians might get you better results.
