I couldn't seem to filter the timelines for this query, so I thought I'd ask here....

I just got a RFE for a something fairly straightforward. I'm getting the required documentation overnighted to me and will overnight it to CSC when I get it.

My question is, does this mean I'm back at the beginning of the pile? Or does it mean that I'm almost to NOA2 status as soon as they get the document they are looking for?

Thanks,

-B

Hard to say really. From what I've seen it varies from 2-6 weeks. From my understanding when you send back the RFE USCIS are supposed to start reviewing your case at that time.. but who know what the USCIS does...

A divorce decree from my first wife. I sent the summons, and some other paper work which we (and our attorneys) had both signed indicating a no-contest divorce, but not the actual finished document.

Yes, it is important to read all the required materials. An official divorce document has to be submitted. Statements by attorneys are useless. It has to be the official court certified marriage decree. I am divorced twice and I had to go downtown to get 3 certified copies each myself to keep on hand as it is required. They want to make sure all your prior marriages are finalized and only a certified copy from the court will do that! Good luck and God Bless, BMB!

We received an RFE for IMBRA and I posed the same question to USCIS and was told that all processing on the case was halted until the RFE was received back at USCIS. Once the information they are looking for is returned, then your processing will resume again. There should be no "moving to the back of the line". But then again that was IMBRA and they may have taken that situation differently as there were sooooo many people affected by it. I would call and ask someone, and also ask them to confirm thier response with a supervisor. Good luck and I hope you aren't delayed for very long.

I Had an RFE On my case regarding some financial issues. It took 3 weeks additional time. YOU are not at the end of the pile. You are just in place, waiting for some more updated information to be entered. dont worry you didnt just become last priority.
