Rejected application for silly mistake........

Hi All

I sent of my AOS last week. THey sent it back to me because I had the wrong dates on my cheques/checks!

My silly Husband dated them 2006 instead of 2007, but this wouldnt stop them banking them, its not like the were post dated!

Anyhow, off to the post office again today. DO i just send the whole thing back as they sent it (they stapled a lot of stuff together etc) and enclose new cheques/checks?

When I sent in the I-130 , I too miswrote the check..........I wrote 190.00 in the box and One Hundred Ninety One on the line (sigh)........anyway , the letter they sent said to send the entire package back to the CSC as they sent it and include the bar-coded letter that was attached and of course send the proper payment

reread that letter and see what they said.

I'm pretty sure that personal checks are only valid for 6 months from the date they're written.........writing 06 on it would make it out-dated

............and yeah it sucks

I'd probably just send it back exactly like they sent it to you with the proper checks and maybe with a note saying proper payment now enclosed, unless of course they gave you instructions on a different way to send it back

I did the same thing when I filed in January of 2005 and my application was also returned.

As an experiment I dated the check I sent to pay my income taxes last year with the wrong year just to see what they would do - and that was in April, not January.

Do I really have to tell you whether they cashed that check or not?
