This is for people who have filed their I-130 with embassies in their respective country and are now in the hands of USCIS London. Have any of you been able to get in contact with London, heard what is going on etc. Personally we filed the I-130 at the US embassy in Copenhagen in early January. Then 2 weeks ago we were told to file the G-325A with Copenhagen so they could forward our case to London. And that is where we are now and we can't get any information. So any information on I-130s being sent through USCIS London is more than welcome.

We filed our Petition in Stockholm and were approved four days after the Adam Walsh Act went into effect last summer. It's now in London. We also have a pending I-601 in London as well. I received an email stating that they would adjudicate both at the same time.

This week in snail mail from London CIS, I got a Request for Evidence of a bona fide relationship. At least I know they are looking at our case... but now we are gathering all the stuff that we brought for the CO in Stockholm for the first approval (i.e. phone bills, photos, cards, letters, emails, plane tickets). I had left all that behind in Sweden with my husband, and now he's making copies to send to London. We're also to obtain three affidavits from people who know we are married, and one from us stating how we met and specifics about our relationship.

I have not gotten any word on how long it will take once they receive our evidence.

I spoke to the Stockholm office last Thursday (Feb. 15th) and she said that London has not been given the rights to accept I-130's. She said that I need to file in American with a c/o address. So, it should look like I am living in the US and he is living here. I don't want to do it this way- I can only imagine the pile our case will end up in! However, I've been waiting for more to hear something about London but nothing is happening!

I think you were given the wrong information by the embassy in Stockholm. From my understanding, if you were to file your I-130 in accordance with the new Adam Walsh Act, you must indeed send it to the USCIS office having jurisdiction over your home state. However, you CAN put down your address in Sweden as your permanent mailing address. The best way would be to put a cover letter preceding your application that explains your situation.

I think USCIS will send your approved I-130 petition back to the embassy in Stockholm and Stockholm will then contact you that they have received this approval and will advise you on what to do next.

The poster iluvmymac has gone this route and USCIS back in the States has received his application. You should ask him what address he used, but I'm quite certain it's the one he has in Japan.

Good luck if you decide to do this.

Just a little update on USCIS London. We talked to Rome who said send London a fax. So we did....but nothing ever came back from them. That was monday. We also talked to Copenhagen who said that London isn't really communicating with them either. But that they were expecting to get back with us during the course of this and next week. So it's back to waiting. I just hope that London hasn't put us at the back of the line because according to their website they are now processing I-130s filed on Nov 21.

Hi guys,

Just got this e-mail from USCIS London today and thought I would share it with you. We wrote them asking what their policy was on handling I-130s from other embassies that were sent for re-approval. And if they could give us any timeline for our case. This is what they wrote:

"Please check with the Embassy in Copenhagen as the required check has been

completed and they can advise next steps.

USCIS - London"

So I guess we'll be calling Copenhagen first thing tuesday when they open.

Copenhagen sent an e-mail today. Our I-130 has been re-approved and sent back to them. They asked us to send the OP-169 & DS-230 I & II. Which we already sent. So I guess we have to call them tomorrow to find out if they haven't received it or what happened.
