Our priority date was May 8th, 2015. According to the Visa Journey time line, we were to hear something around October 9th - October 13th. The good news is, we DID hear something from them TWICE. The bad news is, neither was an approval or request for more evidence.

The fact that we heard from them twice alerted us that our file is on someone's desk, but 5 days since we heard from them last, we have still have not yet gotten an NOA2 which now has us worrying and wondering, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE THEM TO LOOK OVER A 3 PAGE APPLICATION and make a decision.

What did we get from them?

October 14th, they updated the application to make a name change. They confirmed they did this for us.

October 19th, they sent us back TWO original documents that we sent in because the photocopies were not showing the seal clearly.

Again, this suggests someone looked at our file at least TWELVE days ago. Still no NOA2, but in the letter they sent to us, there were 3 checkboxes and the one asking for MORE information was not checked. What was checked was a box saying that if we have not received an approval as yet, one is coming in 20-30 days. Really???

(Delay due to Ds261 showing incomplete had to resubmit) Scan date: December 21st, 2015 Case complete: January 29th, 2016 Medical examination: March 4th, 2016 Interview: March 17th, 2016 at US Embassy in Paris - Approved ! March 18th, 2016 - CEAC shows visa ISSUED March 24th, 2016 - Visa received this morning Paid ELIS $165 fee + book flight on MArch 24th, 2016 POE Chicago on April 13th, 2016  Received green card on June 8th, 2016[/spoiler][/spoiler]

After I-130 approval how long does national visa center take to contact you??

My husband received the approved letter yesterday. They said if you havent heard of NVC in 30 days to contact NVC.

I saw people getting their number in 20 days. You will have to call and find out.

I plan to call in 20 days.
