there's seriously no point. i'm thinking because there's too much guilt attached to the notion of white privilege for the older white men who post here. completely unnecessary guilt btw, unless some of them are closet klan members. they can't grasp that simply by having white skin, they've had the advantage. not by anything they've done or haven't done, simply by having white skin.

perfect example: how black is jesus, everybody's lord and savior? growing up i would have thought the bible took place in norway..

it's not about jesus being real. it's about the IMAGE of jesus that was peddled to you, to me, to everyone..

it's complex, you know, thinking about very specific acts in the broadest sense possible.

i'm not "making fun" of old white folks. the fact that many older white people take issue with the existence of white privilege is an observation. an accurate one at that.

I don't know if I qualify as older but I embraced my WP last night. Free beer and wine at the Andaz downtown last night between 5 and 8. I had a friend in town staying there and he asked me to meet him in the lobby bar. The waitress asked if I was staying in the hotel and knowing full well she wouldn't question me I said 'yes'.

Got my white privilege swerve on...yep.
