my husband wanted me on the pill. the agreement was for a year so he could make sure our marriege was stable. since he has issues because his ex wife got pregnant and they were not getting along...she left when his daughter was 6 weeks old and he feels guilty cuz his daughter never had a father so he dont want that happening again.

well after a year he still didnt have a job so that was the next excuse he used.

now he has a job and guess what he is still not ready. ive finally just accepted im not having a baby. im too old now and he will never be ready.

Before we can think about having kids, I have to have a tubal reversal done and make sure my kidney is functioning properly. BUT... We both agree that we have to wait until we are more financially stable before even starting anything. I'm already 27 and I'd like to have more before I turn 30. I would really like to adopt a child about 3 years younger than my son, so he could have someone to play with (too close to his age and they would be in too much competition) and then have 2 or 3 more naturally...

headline:

d-to-da-oodle and amal go to the hospital as "tubal buddies" to get their ladies back in proper working order.

that would be too cool...how much does it cost anyway? here 'round me it is somewhere in the vicinity of 5000 dollars....

I realized I didn't post on what we thought of b/c.. we will practice safe methods but I can't tolerate b/c pills, they mess me up mentally. I tried them for quite some time before and during my first marriage and all the types I tried made me hate everybody and everything! No B/C for ME!!

I believe the guy in North Carolina is charging $5000 if you pay up front. It might be $6000 though...I'm not sure but he has a really good reputation.

The three places I know of are in North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. I forget where you're from but I remember saying to you "where the heck is that". lol

I'm really sorry to hear that. I think if it were me, I think I'd be bringing up that initial agreement again. This is really not fair to you. (F)

Hi Limah. First, many women who take oral contraceptive fail to fully realize that it is a hormonal suppressing drug. This means that you can expect to have less of a desire for sex, less sexual thoughts about your husband, a drastic fluctuation in your moods, and ultimately less intercourse for you and your husband. Plus, long term use of the pill will permanently damage your libido and your desire for sex. Permanently! It won't come back. These side effects you can count on. I am studying to be a nurse and I do not understand why more doctors do not properly inform their patients of these unavoidable side effects.

Second, if you take the oral contraceptives long-term then you will have a high probability of having frequent migraines and feeling depressed, you will increase your chance of developing breast and cervical cancer, eventually you will probably have acne and an oily face, weight gain, breast tenderness, facial hair growth, and an increased risk for frequent and severe yeast infections.

Here is my suggestion. It is not for everyone but it can be fun if both you and your husband are committed to adhering to the method consistently. Try the rhythm method. It is 95% effective and nearly 100% effective if you wear a condom on the days in between your non-fertile cycle and your fertile cycle. In your fertile cycle then you just don't have intercourse. It's that simple. Not to say you can't have fun together. :) I will keep this G rated. :) If both of you are imaginative and committed to the method then it can be very very fun.

I was only on the pill for a couple years but I have absolutely no libido whatsoever! I could care less if it ever crossed my path again to be quite honest. My poor husband. They need to put some libido enhansing flakes in the B/C pills or something lol

It's because they're nonsense. 60% of women use this pill with no side effects, and the vast majority of the remaining 40% have only minor effects.

Try the rhythm method.

Yeah, my parents tried the rhythm method. That's how I got born, in fact.
