I hate rude, ignorante people - yes, I'm rude and ignorant on occassion, but not to the degree of some people... "Stay in your own Country", "Stay in your own race"... blah blah blah...

I am sorry missed this post till now. Just keep your chin up and follow your dreams of being with your loved one. Life is too short to be unhappy and your happiness matters most. Good luck on your processing and I am sure most of us have encountered someone that is insensitive as well and relate to your feelings. (F)

Hugs,

Mary

I never cease to be amazed at how uncouth and inhumane some people can be!!! Such people sicken me!!! You are very welcome here on VJ where we are more like a family, supporting each other through the trials and tribulations of this arduous visa process. ((((Hugs))))

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

HI there, i'm so sad and disappointed now. Since i have just started finding out about what a K1 visa is, i have been reading around in different sites and just now i asked about it in a forum and this is the reply i got: "Stay in your own god damned country. We have enough foreign illiterates here already". So, imagine how i feel now, that response made me cry because if my fiance and i r requesting for this visa it's cuz we love each other and unfortunately some ppl see it as taking advantage, or like using ppl as bridge to cross to the States but that just not true. It's really sad getting a response like that, anyway.... i'm just mad and sad now... Thanks for reading

just know that love wins in the end... every time! keep the haters at a distance... and focus on you and your sweetie... and the process that needs to be taken... and know that all of vj is here for ya! *hugs*

Tho' lovers be lost, love shall not... and death shall have NO dominion!

Don't listen to them. What do they know? Probably are lonely and jealous.

Bad karma would get them

Stay strong and positive and know that you have people here that can help you to stay that way.

It shouldn't matter to you what others say regarding your marriage, if deep down inside you know it's not true.

But I will say that instead of getting angry at the people making comments like that, you should get angry and feel sad at the vast majority of foreigners that do take advantage and use innocent people as bridges to get here.

If you need someone to beat them call me ahahaha

Dont worry about it... everybody is by your side, and i understand perfectly your situation.

Good moring !!!!

Who ever said that cruel remark just needs a foot right up there ###

we all on here have enough stress dealing with our heart"s being so far away. Dont worry about that #######!!! Do what makes you happy and file your K1 and be with you SO People will always have somthing negtive to say. But let it roll of your back just like water and move on with your next step All of us here are going through the same stress and we all have to stick togeather and get through this process .

And like others have said whoever said that is jelous of what you have and they dont have a life. So dont worry about that at all. we all are here to support one another and help each other.

So dont be sad just keep moving foward and we are here for you

Fortunately since my fiance is from France I haven't had to deal with that. I only get the "France? Whoooaaa! Lucky girl, good food, sexy accent, how the heck did you meet him?!" responses that make me laugh. He, however, is getting torn apart on the France side. Why isn't she moving here, she's manipulating you, how do you know she loves you, blah blah blah. It hurts even more because it's his family, my future in-laws, saying that. I wanted a good relationship with my in-laws... but they don't like me and have judged me without even seeing my face.

You know what? The heck with them. Our love, and the love you two have, is stronger than stupid people's remarks. I'd bet people who make remarks like that are WISHING for the type of love that you and I have found. Somehow trudging through this distance makes a relationship so much stronger and full of love. As much as I hate the distance I appreciate how much deeper our relationship is than it would be if he lived down the street the whole time.

You have an amazing treasure in that relationship of yours. Some will be jealous, some will try to take it away, some won't see the treasure because they're blinded. The heck with them. It's your treasure, not theirs.

(F) Chin up and smile! ;)

yeah, don't let comments like that get to you.

A lot of lidiots spend a great deal of time on the internet letting their anger out - they are socially inept losers who live on the fringes of society, and now the internet has given them the means to unleash their stupidity on the rest of us!

You know what you have with your fella, that is all that matters!
