just a share....i just called NVC today regards the status of the case. they finished reviewed the AOS & IV documents yesterday and i will be getting checklist regarding about the AOS form just some changes on it, i asked about the IV docs she said everything is okay except the needed changes on my AOS Form. Take note i never pay the IV Payment yet and i never fill out the DS-260 as i am going to wait the system to be up. Exactly 1 month today i send my AOS & IV documents together. So it took them 30 days to review the documents.....the agent said once i comply the checklist it will take another 30 days for them to review. Well, another patience tested.....

Our scan date was 5/27

The AOS fee was paid on 5/21 and it's still showing as unpaid.

No IV bill was ever issued for us

Apparently we are in 'necessary administrative processing' once that is done, we will be issued IV bill.

Also, if I was to trust them, our AOS and IV docs have been reviewed and completed

We received the checklist for AOS and IV fee

Approaching on a 2 month mark since case was assigned, 3 month mark since NOA2

Feel like we have been tapping in the same spot for two months now.

@timpoong, what could be the changes in aos? Just wondering.. They recieved my aos docs and iv last june 19 but ive used the expired form aos.. Uhhh thats the onlynone they had in their site though.

the lady mention that they need my original signature on AOS form which i did the original signature they thought i send them a photocopy one (i used special pen for my signature and now they think its a photocopy? sigh...) she also mention that there is some parts that need to change i take a note but left it at home...they will send me email on details about it...will see....but i am just thankful they got all my docs and never lose them as what others experience... my AOS & IV docs are find just the forms that need some changes....sigh...

Just a share: I called NVC June 26 to follow up on things. I sent my AOS and IV packages for my parents on May 7, received May 8. IV fee paid by mail, cleared May 28. Both AOS and IV packages had been reviewed, rep said they are just waiting for the DS260. Exactly one month after the IV fees were cleared, I get a "checklist" for the DS260. I kind of expected that since the website has been down for almost two months now. I am just happy to know that the packages I sent had been reviewed and I am not missing any documents. Thank you, VJ family, for all the help.

NVC Database Temporarily Offline for Computer System Update

7/2/2015

The Bureau of Consular Affairs is still resolving technical problems with some of our online immigrant visa forms. This issue is not specific to any particular country or visa category. As part of the solution to these systems issues, the National Visa Center (NVC) will temporarily take its immigrant visa database offline to allow our technical specialists to work on the system.

We will take our database offline at 3:30 pm on Thursday, July 2 through Sunday, July 5. Please note the NVC will be closed on Friday, July 3 for the Independence Day holiday.

What does this mean for immigrant visa applicants? Beginning at 3:30 pm on Thursday, July 2, NVC staff will be unable to access any case-specific information in the database. While our Public Inquiry phone line will still be operating, our Customer Service Representatives will be unable to provide callers with information specific to their case, such as whether we have received your case from USCIS, if we received mail from you, and your case status. We will be unable to make changes or updates to your case, such as a change of address.

We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause. However, the Department of State’s technical team is confident that this temporary inconvenience is a necessary step toward restoring full functionality to our systems. We expect the NVC’s immigrant visa database to again be operational on Monday, July 6 and our Customer Service Representatives will be able to fully answer public inquiries then.

Applicants who have had difficulty accessing Form DS-261 Choice of Address and Agent and Form DS-260 Immigrant Visa Applicationonline, or paying their visa fees online should continue to monitor this website for updates and follow the instructions below. Again, we thank you for your continued patience and apologize to applicants who are experiencing delays.
