Yup, so....

Since we're trying to conceive at the moment, I thought I'd go back to babysnark and make a few posts...but BOY oh BOY has it gone completely dead in there! Nobody there! I mean there are DAYS between posts - not the happy bantering of this place.

So do any of you know a good, hustly-bustly preggy forum to get involved with? Either that or we could all get together (thos eof us who are or want to be preggo) and gad Capt. Ewok (lovely little furry honey that he is) into making us a special "Pregnant Immigrant Baby Forum" :D

Not that inappropriate is it...we could throw a few threads in there about the nationality of babies etc...taking baby to other countries...blah etc. plus we could chit chat abnout pregnancy symptoms too graphic and weird to put in the "Off Topic" forum... Just a thought.

Or ya could direct me to a good ol' preggy forum :D(F) (F) (F) Any ideas? :)

I know there is a thread in Off Topic in this site... we have been trying to get pregnant for a year.. not happening so, not really in the know.. sorry

September 15 - 2005: NOA1

October: Waiting

November: Waiting

December: In Security checks

January 2006: Waiting

February: Waiting..Contacted Congress

March 4th: APPROVED

March 17th: NVC posted file to London

March 20th: London Receives file

March 29th: Receive package 3

April 13th: London Receives package

April 19th: Medical - June 13th: INTERVIEW......APPROVED!!!!

June 20th: ARRIVE IN USA

Time taken for whole process 9 Months

AOS

October: 13th: Sent off AOS Package

November 3rd: NOA1

November 14th: Snail mail ~ NOA1 ~ Case moved to the CSC for faster processing.

November 14th : CSC has petition for me and my daughter.

December 14th: Biometrics completed.

January 17th: APPROVED AOS!

January 22nd: Green card arrives in the mail:))

Time taken for AOS - 3.5 Months

Finished for 2 years.

i think it would be awesome to have a separate forum for pregnancy/babies/children of visa families...

we have the one thread that is going strong, but it would be nice to be able to have an actual forum so we could split it up to be

general support

birth control

trying to conceive

1st trimester

2nd trimester

3rd trimester

complications

labor & delivery

postpartum

infant

toddler

dual citizenship processes and experiences

cultural differences in pregnancy, labor, raising children

photos/bragging

etc, etc, etc.....

whatcha think ewok??

I think perhaps I might send a PM to our Uncle Ewok to see if that's a possibility - I'm more than happy to help run it or whatever :)

Anyone who's with me, perhaps you guys could PM or maybe (to avoid a PM flood) we could make a little petition somewhere.

Well I might be :D I dunno yet...we definately hit the nail on the head time wise this month, and I've been keeping track of the proper date to....ahem....nail the nail on the head....

I will definately keep everyone posted if I am. If not, we'll have another go next month. I am on the pre-natal vits, have totally quit smoking, am keeping nicely hydrated...sooo..I suppose only th next coupla weeks will tell :)(F)

You can join the birth clubs (forums for the month you're due)

I've been on the August 2006 board since I first found out I was pregnant and am still on there now that my daughter is 6 mos old...it's so fun to see the babies growing and changing.

there are also trying to conceive boards etc......VERY busy boards!

No offense - BUT...there's not even that many VISA/IMMIGRATION sections on VJ!!! :blink:

And this is supposed to remain a site dedicated to IMMIGRATION issues, not babies.
