FORM I130- What documents do you need to prove

All,

Question here. I am sponsoring my wife but am short on income, so am trying to save as much as possible to submit.

Hence, my question rellies on my wife's birth certificate. Upon reading letter "H" under the instructions to the form, it is not so clear: Birth certificates of chuld born to you, the petitioner, and your spouse together

My question is: do they require my birth certificate and my spouse as well???

Sorry, but your questions were difficult to understand.

When you file the form I-130, the only birth certificate that needs to be filed, is that of the PETITIONER. ( or his/her passport pages ). This is used to establish that the petitioner is a US citizen:

"...Birth certificates of chuld born to you, the petitioner, and your spouse together" I believe it refers if case you and your wife have a baby together, to put you child's ieri certificate but no needs for your wife's birth certificate.

Yeah, it just wants the birth certificate of any children ( between you and your spouse )
