You don't have to wait for packet 3. We still have not received packet 3 and the interview is already done. Get your receipt number (the number with MNL at the beginning) and call USCIS to get your case number.

Thanks. My fear is that USCIS has not sent it, which would be a USCIS problem presumably, not a NVC problem (NVC can't know what they don't have).

My NOA2 is 23/07 and still NVC does not have it and yours is few days later than mine

With USEM in Manila there has been a work around to avoid waiting packet 3 (which never arrives) and the NOA2. Neither of these do you need to wait for. Right now you are burning the candle at both ends.

Head on over to my website and follow these step by step instructions to get you moving.:thumbs:

We could've called them sooner if we knew. I checked the link and it is very helpful, thank you for the info.

Although I wish it were different for the both of us, it is comforting to know that other people are in the same boat. I was starting to worry because people that were approved after us have already received their case number from NVC. Maybe our applications got approved by the same person and he/she went on vacation.

Hi Everyone,

We got our NOA2 on July 27th, 2015, and there has been no update from USCIS since. Is this normal? Will USCIS update the status once they've sent it to NVC? Who should we call - USCIS or NVC - to figure out what's going on?

Thanks

There are lot of people that can help you over in the Canadian regional thread located here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/93-canada/

They will answer you questions as some have completed the process.

hi all!!

So curious about what proof of relationship needs to be shown AT the interview. So we have that big checklist for all the financial/background/medical/police information..but does anyone know what exactly we need for proof of relationship? we supplied a lot in our original I-129F petition (travel itinteraries together, photos together over 2.5 years, phone conversation logs, joint bank accnt statements, proof of joint address..) It is my understanding that the embassy has all that with them at the time of the interview, (because they have our original petition, right?) is that all correct??

also, can anyone make some more suggestions as to what you are bringing as proof of relationship.. thanks!

i have arranged for my fiance to bring a few cards from family and friends congratulating us on our engagement, print out of our emails while separated (separation will only have been 4 months), a oopy of an email i got for a bridal shop appointment for dresses, photos of us at our engagement party in the US, etc..

In the notebook I sent to my fiancé, I included all the proof that was in the original petition. Then I did a separate powerpoint document labeled 'part 2' with additional correspondence since we filed and copies of engagement cards from friends.
