Our case was approved on 30th June 2015. We still haven't received the case number from NVC. We called NVC but we can never reach any representative. We email them but no reply yet. Could anyone suggest what can we do now? Is it ok not knowing the NVC case number and simply wait for packet 3?

Thank you so much.

Have you used both of these numbers to contact NVC? 1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

After 36 days our petition finally arrived at NVC yesterday. Today they gave me the case number!! :joy:

Still waiting for my NOA2 hard coy.

You don't need to wait for the NOA2 copy. It's time to Rock and Roll. With the MNL# you can complete the DS160, Pay your visa fee, schedule your appointment. Then determine when you want to complete the Medical at SLEC and CFO. If you would like some help head on over to my website, see the link below in my signature at the twisting arrow. This link from my site puts you right where you are in the process from just receiving your MNL#.

I created the site to inform you about the "gotchas" that you will encounter if you do this "blindly" on your own.

Example; You go to any BPI branch to pay your visa fee but guess what, they tell you that their branch does not except visa payments. Gotcha! So I tell people to call ahead and ask if they can take a visa payment. Simple? Yes but you wouldn't know it till you arrived at the bank. Ahhh, guess what else. You go to a branch that does take the visa payment and they ask you for your passport. Funny thing is some branches require a passport for payment and some branches do not. There is nothing written that you need a passport to pay your fee. Gotcha!

Please trust me when I say there are many many more.

That's the headaches that my website helps you with. Free!

Rec. our NVC number and checked our status, says "Ready" as of August 4th. Everyone is getting excited.

You don't need to wait for the NOA2 as it never arrives till your in the US. You can pay your visa fee and schedule your visa interview. Lots of stuff you can be doing now to move your case faster. It'll save you 1-3 months less of processing. See my response above to danlrob. I'm sure you will find my guide helpful.

Hi from Philippine's.. I know its been answered so many time.. Can anyone help I just wanna ask for the exact docs needed to send by my petitioner on my interview like financial support docs.. Thanks in advance..

You can find the exact documents needed and the step by step process at my website. Use the link at the twisting arrow in my signature box below.

Here's the checklist I created for my USC fiance to send to me prior to my interview:

Proof of Dissolution of Previous Marriage (if any)

Affidavit of Support with Original Signature (Form I-134)

Latest Income Tax Return (Form 1040)

Latest Withholding Tax Statement (W2)

Certification of Employment

3 months worth of pay stubs/slips

As advised by some senior members, It will be a good idea to have these on the day of your interview:

129-F Paperwork and Evidences (Duplicate of the packet sent by USC to USCIS)

Updated Letter of Intent to Marry

Good luck!

Just to update you on some changes that have been made for the processing though USEM Philippines the CO is not asking for the letter of intent nor the From I-134 any longer. BUT, it's still recommended (it's contained in the Embassy Letter) that you might be asked for the I-134 and all supporting docs like 1040 and W-2's. More at my website if you would like to get up to speed. I wish you luck in getting the Visa.

No you don't have to wait for the NOA2 letter. If you sent the G-1130 (electronic notification) form along with your I-129F then they will text/email the petitioner you once the petition has been approved. Give it a few days after receiving this text/email then call USCIS at 1-603-334-070. They will ask you for the petitioner and beneficiary full name and DOB, etc. Just tell them you are checking your case status and you don't yet have your case number. Fortunately, every agent I spoke to was very helpful. When you call and it goes directly to an automated message just hang up and redial again. Do this until you call and it actually rings. Hope this helps.

We already have the NoA2. We got approved July 22. They say you have to wait fr packet 3? Both of us still don't have the letter from NVC so we're wondering if we need to call now or still wait to get our MNL case number

Hi Everyone,

We got our NOA2 on July 27th, 2015, and there has been no update from USCIS since. Is this normal? Will USCIS update the status once they've sent it to NVC? Who should we call - USCIS or NVC - to figure out what's going on?

Thanks

Once USCIS approves your application they are done with it and send it to the NVC. You should call the NVC and ask them for a case number which the NVC assigns to your application before it sends it to the appropriate consulate office.

Thanks. My fear is that USCIS has not sent it, which would be a USCIS problem presumably, not a NVC problem (NVC can't know what they don't have).

I would give a call to NVC just to make sure, try to call them at 7 am Eastern Time, you might have to hold for a long time on the phone but you will eventually get someone. Call them and ask them about your application. You need your USCIS case number. Hope this helps :)
