Unfortunately not. The date you get is the date you gotta keep. Unless they tell you otherwise. You can postpone the date. But not make it sooner. Just be patient. It will happen at the best time for the right reason. My interview is also yet to be attended in September. 29th might I add. So just hang in there.

thanks. Also just realized it falls outside of our NOA2 validity date by two days so we have emailed them to see how to proceed

Status changed to "Ready" this morning! :joy:

Rec. our NVC number and checked our status, says "Ready" as of August 4th. Everyone is getting excited.

I had the problem too. I took a really bad picture. Compressed it. Then uploaded it. Then it told me the picture didn't fit the criteria, and moved me forward to the end. Then it just said that I'd have to present the correct size images when I go for my interview. Crop the picture you're trying to use. Or compress it. It should work then.

The picture itself is accepted but the "Next" button on the bottom is greyed out and then we get an error message. I am thinking maybe its a server problem since my fiancee gets the same problem. I have a Mac and have tried on Safari, Firefox and Opera and he has a Windows laptop and tried on IE and firefox. Oh well. We will try again in the morning.

Yeah, my fiancees' dad died so we put this visa on the back burner for some days. Now that we want to proceed we get this DS 160 website issue :crying:

hey everyone!!!

So I called NVC today and they said that my paperwork is in transit the American Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia. From what I know the Embassy is the one to issue an interview date when they receive the case. But when I check here for my case status it now says this......." IN TRANSIT"....then it says..." Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center".

My question is ...does that mean we already have a date for our interview or a date will be given to us once the embassy receives out paperwork???

PLEASE HELP!

Hi,

I think the CEAC website gives that message to everyone. NVC does not make the interview for the appointment.

It varies by embassy so check out your country's portal on this website to see what the process is for you. Some embassies make the appointment for you once package 3 is done and others use a website where you can schedule the appointment.

We figured out the DS 160 problem and finally finished the form :joy:

So we sent back packet 3 and they responded very quickly with packet 4. Interview is Sept. 17th :joy:

Are you doing your medical in Cape Town or Johannesburg? I guess we will call Monday to make the medical appointment.

Yay! That's great news. My interview was that date! But I had to wait and postpone due to flight arrangements. So now I'm on the 29th. Medical I'm doing in Cape Town. It's closer to home for me. Can't wait to hear your good news! Glad you surpassed the DS 160! Happiness everywhere. It's wonderful!

Still no interview date In Algeria :( embassy received case on July 14, 2015.

I thought this was supposed to be the "fast" part :( :( :( :(

Any luck with getting an interview?

Still no interview :( I feel like we will never get one. Someone told me for k1 visa they only scheduled 1 per month. I'm not sure if that's true or not. But it sure does feel like it. We check the site everyday and have emailed the embassy twice with no replies. When we call they tell us we just need to wait :(
