hi all, the NVC said they sent out our case to our Australian embassy on July 21. Today is Aug 2 (Aug 3 Australian time) and yet they have replied in an email saying "they have not yet recieved our case". Thats 12/13 days. Should I be worried? A lot of your timelines say they receive word from your consulate very quickly after the case left the NVC... Im freaking out :( ..What should I do next? Thanks! :help: :help:

12-13 days is long. DHL should only take 4-5 days to get to you. I bet it is at the embassy but they haven't looked at it yet.

I noticed the CEAC website is not very accurate. I was told on the phone my case left on the 27th and the website said "in transit" on the 27th but it really left the 28th.

Have you checked other Australian timelines? How long is the typical wait between "consulate receive" and "package 3"?

Hi,

There won't be anymore updates on the USCIS website. You have to call NVC and get your case number and track it here : https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

The # is 603 334-0700. Call early or you won't get through, they open at 7am EST. They will ask your WAC# and foreign fiancee's name and birthday.

Good luck!! Your case may be in the Philippines already :star:

Just checked our NVC status this morning and it changed to "In Transit"!
Do they e-mail the beneficiary with the DHL tracking number? Or can I call NVC and get it?

Hi

theres no way to get those details, there is somewhere a way to check the "total packages" sent from NVC to London, but not specifically yours. I didnt even bother, it arrived in days and status changed to ready

Hey all, I just saw that my case is now in transit to the embassy. I leave for Macedonia in three weeks so I'm just going to take a copy of original documents and everything with me so that he has them. For the affidavit of support, do I leave all the copies with him or do you have to mail them to the NVC? Or since our case left the NVC I don't need to send them anything and from now on everything is on his side?

Hi guys I'm in the process of gathering documents to send overseas. I'm submitting the tax and w2 paperwork for my co sponsor. Is it absolutely necessary to have the SSN of my cosponsor on the paperwork? they're a bit weary of sending private paperwork in the mail. Thanks!

oh yeah also an update.. my case is now "ready" and received by our consulate in australia!!! left NVC july 21, "ready" as of August 3 WOOHOO!

anyone else from australia know what to do now?? our CEAC says: "Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html"

to me that statement sounds contradictory... it says IF you have already scheduled your appointment. . . . then says "otherwise wait until you have been notified of your interview appt."..so do i make one myself or not? lol any ideas?? thanks!!
