So..... I think I found my case on DHL but I'm not 100% sure because NVC updated our case on July 11 as in transit which was Saturday. The package I found on DHL left NVC on Monday. What do you guys think? Does NVC update before DHL actually picks up? Could this be mine? Not sure if anyone else is going thru Algeria is at the same stage as we are.

so now i am confused. on ceac, my case says ready! It says case created july 2, 2015, updated july 14, 2015. I am thankful the case is at the embassy. I would just like to update my timeline with the correct information so I don't confuse anyone looking at my timeline.

Can anyone tell me if the "created" date of July 2 is the date the embassy received the case? or would that be the date NVC gave my package a case number? I was approved from USCIS on June 11. When I called NVC on July 6 to get my case #, the man said my account was locked and he couldn't give me any information other than case # and invoice #. He did say however, that the case had not left NVC so this is why I am confused.

Hey May filers! Small boring update but I'm curious about what others are being told so I am going to share my experience with you all..

NOA2 Approval issued June 26th

I finally got through to the NVC today (July 12) and she told me that they do not have our case yet and they'll most likely have it by early August. Anyone else on a similar timeline being told this?

She said it takes about 7 business weeks for new cases to be entered into their system.

I knew I'd be calling too soon but I didn't expect her to say early August! I hope she's just saying that so I stop calling back every day ?

Anyone else?

most cases usually take 2 to 3 wks...I know I received my case # exactly 3 wks after my USCIS approval and I find its better to call in the evening so at least u give them time to work on cases rather than early mornings when they're just getting to work

Wow, that is confusing! I'm glad your case is at embassy. The DHL package from monday must have been yours.

11/9/13- Met 1st time in person (L) 7/27/15- Case left NVC to South Africa!!!

2/01/14- Met 2nd time in person (L) 7/28/15- Case "ready"

5/11/15- Mailed I-129F 8/4/15- Packet 3 received by email

5/19/15- NOA1--- Got routed to CSC!!! :dancing: 8/7/15- Sent Packet 3

5/22/15- File "touched" 8/7/15- Packet 4 received by email!

5/27/15- Our baby was born (L) 9/7- 9/8- Medical

6/18/15- NOA2!!!! Email notification at 21:30 Central Time **30 days from NOA1** 9/17/15- Interview!!! APPROVED :luv:

9/28/15- Visa in hand

9/29/15- US Entry---- Finally!!

I called NVC today and finally got through. Bummer they don't have my case yet. NOA2 was on 23rd of June. In that time I could take a bike and ride it through the US

My noa2 date is the same as yours! It should be assigned soon though. Maybe try calling at night? The case could be touched throughout the day.

Our NOA2 is June 22 and we still don't have a case number yet!! Will be trying again tonight hoping it gets done during the day today!! They're so slow at the moment...

Adjustment of Status (AOS) Process from K1
20th November 2015: Filed AOS paperwork along with Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and Advanced Parole (AP) requests.

29th November 2015: electronic notifications (Email and text x3)

25th November 2015: NOA1 (date they received)
17th December 2015: early walk in biometrics appointment. (letter date: December 21).

29th December 2015: Case ready to be scheduled for interview
8th February 2016: Completed service request for EAD via USCIS phone call
16th February 2016:Checked online and EAD was approved (Date approved February 12th).

19th February 2016- Card has been mailed

20th February 2016- Card delivered

Current status: Waiting for AOS interview to be scheduled!

Our NOA2 is June 22 and we still don't have a case number yet!! Will be trying again tonight hoping it gets done during the day today!! They're so slow at the moment...

People say the nvc part will be quick but with this whole process nothing is quick, or easy or predictable.

I just wish csc would update our cases when they sent them to the nvc, just like tsc does, at least we would have some sort of date registered to keep an eye on the 35 days processing nvc states they work in.

I've seen someone with a noa2 date the same as yours on the April thread that got theirs last night. It should be anytime now. Good luck to you.

And for DHL... from what I understand you can't track it until you know when it left NVC to the consulate. Even then, you won't know 100% that is your package you are tracking but there is a good chance it is.

They gave my HAV number since I am from cuba, do I need anything else or do I have to fill out the DS 160 first to track in CEAC

I was able to check on my PC, I was doing it thru my phone so it didn't show. Good luck I hope everything moves quickly.

i just got my case number from nvc. does anybody know how to track the number that they gave? do i have to wait for packet 3 before i can schedule for the medical and interview? thanks so much
