Congrats!!!!

When did you sent your packet guys? Only the fiance will receive the NOA1 text and hard copy? We sent our packets last June 29 and looking forward to receive any text or postal within this week or probably next week.

We sent our packet May 26th. I got the text and email because I sent the form along with everything else. Once you receive your case number make an account on uscis so you both can check for updates. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey Everyone. Newbie here. Very confusing. Normally I just watch the thread. My fiance filed early May. It was received on the 12th then on routed to California. On 19th June we received an email that our petition was approved. Now we're waiting for the actual hard copy to come in the mail. It's been taking a while. Not too sure if we should check with NVC now or after the NOA2 arrives. Thoughts?

My hard copy of NOA2 took 10 days to arrive. My approval was June 11 and I just got my case # from NVC yesterday. I started calling at the 2 week mark and it drove me crazy. I would advise people to start calling at the 3 week mark. :)

I've never heard of that, usually you get an RFE through snail mail. I would call the number and see who it is, really strange... and I would call the USCIS customer service...

My case left NVC on July 2nd for the embassy.

Had to call NVC to find that out. I didn't even receive the NVC letter with case number or anything. So for reference, that case got to NVC on June 24 and left 8 days later. My case was approved at the CSC June 19th. So it took 5 days to mail. Here is the disclaimer though: My case was expedited through the CSC (even though it ended up getting approved pretty much the day it would have under normal processing) so it may have been rushed out the door to NVC a little quicker, but it was not expedited at NVC, so you should expect close to that turn-around time I'd imagine.

Best of luck to all going forward. Cheers!

That is great!! I hope everything keeps going quickly for you.

I also had an expedite and was approved a day before you were. So far no case number but I was told my case was at NVC. I am hoping for some good news tomorrow :)

I hope everyone gets their cases sent to the embassy quickly... it is so hard being away from our loved ones.

I haven't seen my fiancee since Sept. :(

Thanks a lot. Wow. That sucks. This whole process is indeed costly. I'm currently stuck in New Zealand. I'll have to fly back home for my interview at some point. Also. Do you know if your fiancee is going to use the short or long version of the birth certificate? I need to apply for one as my mom lost mine. The long version takes forever to be issued. Time I'm afraid I won't have. I'll have to postpone an interview date due to waiting for a long version.

New Zealand must be a nice place to be stuck in :)

My fiancee has a long version of his birth certificate. Are you able to apply for a copy while you are in New Zealand? Maybe if you tell them what it is for they can rush it? Hope you don't have to postpone your interview.
