It's still upsetting because this is actually the second time i had to file because they made ne wait for a decision for 150 days then they said after those 150 were done that my petition already expired and i needed to file a new one. I sent the same docs as i sent before plus more and now RFE?

RFE is just another rock to this application .. we got it too .. Just think its just something they want to fix so we wont be in trouble for another step .. lets be positive and everything will be OK soon ..God bless u couple !

Just got off the phone with the NVC. I was only on hold for 33 minutes :clock:

So they said that my case was received at the NVC but they could not tell me when or the case number. They told me to wait 4 weeks from the approval date on NOA2.

I will call again in two days

My case left NVC on July 2nd for the embassy.

Had to call NVC to find that out. I didn't even receive the NVC letter with case number or anything. So for reference, that case got to NVC on June 24 and left 8 days later. My case was approved at the CSC June 19th. So it took 5 days to mail. Here is the disclaimer though: My case was expedited through the CSC (even though it ended up getting approved pretty much the day it would have under normal processing) so it may have been rushed out the door to NVC a little quicker, but it was not expedited at NVC, so you should expect close to that turn-around time I'd imagine.

Best of luck to all going forward. Cheers!

Hey Everyone. Newbie here. Very confusing. Normally I just watch the thread. My fiance filed early May. It was received on the 12th then on routed to California. On 19th June we received an email that our petition was approved. Now we're waiting for the actual hard copy to come in the mail. It's been taking a while. Not too sure if we should check with NVC now or after the NOA2 arrives. Thoughts?

Hi Bernice,

I am surprised you haven't gotten the hardcopy yet. The hardcopy states it to wait one month before contacting NVC but most start to call after 2 weeks. I am calling every other day. It is up to you if you want to start calling now or wait.

We have very similar timelines. My fiancee is from Mauritius but he has to interview in South Africa because the US embassy in Mauritius doesn't handle K 1 visas. If it wasn't so expensive to travel and stay in South Africa, it wouldn't be a big deal. But since he has to the do the medical in South Africa and then wait 5 days or so for the visa to be actually given to him, it will turn out to be very costly.

Our NOA2 came June 18th and I got the hardcopy within 2-3 business days. I can't remember.

Thanks a lot. Wow. That sucks. This whole process is indeed costly. I'm currently stuck in New Zealand. I'll have to fly back home for my interview at some point. Also. Do you know if your fiancee is going to use the short or long version of the birth certificate? I need to apply for one as my mom lost mine. The long version takes forever to be issued. Time I'm afraid I won't have. I'll have to postpone an interview date due to waiting for a long version.
