That's what happened at my husbands job, so I showed them the letter to his boss but I wouldn't let her photocopy it as it had all of my info on, but it says at the top you must bring your spouse with you

Does anyone know if there is any way of speeding up the process due to medical reasons? My grandmother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I need to go back to see her. My application has all been approved and my case was forwarded to NVC after my interview was approved and I haven't heard anything from them since October 23rd

What is your online status shows?

I believe most people getting approval will get their GC within 10 days. If you feel something is wrong then make a infopass to ask about your case at your local office.

Well my interview was approved on the spot and she said the GC takes an average of two months to get to me, but all I know is that it's in post decision activity at the NVC

Well my interview was approved on the spot and she said the GC takes an average of two months to get to me, but all I know is that it's in post decision activity at the NVC

InfoPass or calling the 1-800 number and requesting to speak to a level-2 ISO would be the way to go at this stage, if you're looking to speed it up. They should be able to see what's up - more so than the online case status tool - and hopefully give you an idea of what to expect.

I second the advice so far though - don't do anything until you have your Green Card! Perhaps they'll be prepared, at an InfoPass appointment, to stamp your passport with an I-551 which will serve as temporary evidence of a Green Card (perfectly fine for international travel et al)

Just an update to say I just got a push notification on my phone just now (I have the "Case Tracker" app) saying that my case was approved - I am cautiously optimistic because I got a NPIW back in September and at the end of October I got a RFE for a new medical (but my K1 medical was complete and would only expire in January). I still went ahead and did it and mailed them on November 5th. This seems too good to be true. Pasting the notice below...



On November 13, 2015, we approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXX. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice.

Expedite request for EAD/AP Aug 3, 2016, Aug10 notification >request was received, assigned, completed. RFE letter requesting evidence for expedite, docs faxed Aug18

*Service request for I-485 Aug 3, 2016, Aug11 notification> request was assigned. Service request Dec 2, 2016.
AOS Interview letter received Aug 12, 2016

AOS Interview September 21, 2016.

Second Biometrics appointment letters received for EAD and AOS on Aug 15, 2016 for Aug 17 ( 2 day notice).

Second Biometrics completed Aug 17, 2016

Third Biometrics appointment letter received Aug 19, 2016 for Sept. 1, 2016. WTH ?!

EAD/AP (renewal) approval Aug 22, 2016, NOA2 received Aug 25, 2016

Renewal EAD in production notification text and online, expedite successful 4 days after RFE request response was faxed, Aug25mailed,Aug29received.

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.
