I haven't been on here in a while! Congrats everyone who got approvals and interviews. I do not know what is going on with my case. I sent in a service request to change my address on August 26, it was assigned to an officer and still nothing has been updated. I called immigration they submitted a second service request on September 3 and it was expedited. It got assigned again to an officer the same day. They changed my partners address (I-130 form) also got the letter in the mail last week BUT mine is still stuck that I live in NY....

I had no clue they would take nearly one month to UPDATE an address on my file (like really??? ).

Yes, lots of updated addresses are very slow to get into the system. It sucks. Keep bugging them.

And thank you so much ebun,I think it's because of the service request you advised me on doing because I was approve 2 days after they said it was in the 90 day normal processing time

How is everyone doing on their credit score ? Hubby's (beneficiary) has already passed up mine (USC).

I started him on the Capital One secured credit card and when he paid the entire bill off he was able to see his first credit score

on Creditkarma.com which is an excellent tool to monitor good credit and what influences it.

Many don't realize how important a good credit score is to low interest rates on loans, insurance, even some landlords look into it.

While waiting try to get a secured CC to build credit. Hubby doesn't have a job yet but was able to get the CC with my income disclosure and a few

faxed letters and phone calls. Credit $200 and deposit was $49. We are waiting for the CC offers to pour in soon to further build up the

credit. Nice to see his score....he exists in the system ...yay.

Yes, they will and a secured credit card is for the purpose of building credit, that's the point, to get you on the credit map.

Check with Capital One secured card. Secured means you pay in a deposit.

Hi everyone, I had my interview for AOS on Sept 10 and I was approved. yesterday I received this email:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Decision

On September 11, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC*******. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by November 10, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

My Work permit and advance parole are still pending and no update at this moment.

Question:

for those who had their green card approved is it really like 2months before u guys received ur green card? Coz I thought once ur approved in the interview ur green card will be mailed within the week

It varies, some get the GC in days, some weeks, some are still waiting after a couple of months.

I applied april 29, Got RFE in May 19 and sent the RFE on junE 19. On August 3, I received the interview notice then had an interview September 10.

So once I received the welcome notice via mail is there anything that I will do next? Or just wait for the green card to arrived? Also, can I start applying jobs and work while waiting for the green card? Is that legit? Thanks

You are a K1 to AOS adjuster so you wait for the GC to arrive until you work, you will need a SSN also.

You can submit applications and resumes and job hunt all you want but wait to actually work until GC in hand unless you get the EAD

before the GC. Once GC is in hand you won't need the EAD.

Hi guys just to let you know I received a interview waiver letter. I know the letter just kinda means that I could still interview but it does state that there is a 6 month backlog in cases at the moment. It's a shame they ain't a approval or denial and I know it still could mean 11 months down the line I could still be picked for interview but I just thought I should update about 6 month delay. I was just wondering if I can pull some good news out of this letter . Hope everyone had a good weekend and good news on people getting updates

I think it's personally 50/50 because it says it's potentially a interview waiver . So they could still interview me . Anyone else got any ideas?
