Biometrics appointment on June 4th!

So we are now joining the May 2015 AOS filers club! We sent ours off on May 18th and they received it on May 19th.

Still have not heard anything or received any notifications yet. Although it is a holiday weekend.

I am a little nervous about this one as I'm not sure if I prepared the packet of documents correctly and we only sent in 2 passport type photos,

I was not aware that we needed to provide 2 photos for each application.

I really hope the AOS goes as smoothly as our K-1 Visa process went.

I'm just a day behind you (I sent on May 19th and they received it on May 20th), no text/e-mail yet.

I put only 4 pictures (2 AOS and 2 EAD) I forgot the 2 for AP. I've gotten an answer from an other May filer that I would get an RFE. But MAYBE we'll be good; I kept looking up and have found out that some people did not receive a RFE. Did you send the AP (I-131) too?

I pray that we're good but in case we get a RFE, it'll just add maybe 2 more weeks to the process, we've been through longer

They get mailed together but they are processed separately, which is why you also need the 2 passport photos(total of 6) for each form.

This is correct. Folks should consider these to be three completely separate, distinct compilations that happen to be mailed together in the same envelope.

Has anyone heard of people being successful with a walk in biometrics appointment? I won't be able to attend my appointment but I've heard people being able to go in earlier. Apparently Denver people are nice...so we might try on the 28th and if were unsuccessful then try and rearrange.

Yes, there have been many reporting successful walk- ins, it depends on the office though, not sure about Denver.

Yes, I read a thread that they ask you WHY you are walking in early, and if they believe you have a good enough reason they will do it. On the flip side, people have been rejected multiple times. If your office is not far- I say why not try??

Thanks for the replies! Well that's just it, it is far away so it's not like we can just pop in unfortunately. Maybe if I say that we're not local and I can't get a ride in on my given date it might convince them? Hmm...

Hi all!

We were able to successfully do a walk in at the Saint Paul MN ASC for biometrics today.

Quick and easy, out in 10 minutes!

Not sure if it helps move the process faster, but we weren't able to make the date they selected for us, so it was worth a shot!

That's good to hear! I'm going to attempt a walk in either on the 28th or the 29th. A little worried I'm gonna get turned away and it'll be a 2 hour journey wasted.

Joining the May 2015 AOS Filers.

We sent the package USPS Express, they received the package the next day and we got the emails and texts today.

Good afternoon everyone! My husband and I are also May AOS applicants.

Sent package via Fedex on 5/7

NOA texts received on 5/13

NOA letters received on 5/18

Biometrics letter received 5/23

Attempted biometrics walk-in 5/26

Biometrics appointment 6/2

Ehh, everything was going so fast and smooth for us until my husband tried to do a walk-in for biometrics (yesterday at Buena Park office) and was told off =( Now we have to wait an extra week.

We are on a super tight schedule (travelling to Australia for work/family on July 2nd) due to my mistake (I was incorrectly under the impression that AP is a formality immediately after the biometrics provided your status was fine prior to the AOS application). Hopefully we will be able to expedite as soon as the biometrics are done!!!
