Hey everyone!

Congratulations to everyone who has recently received their EAD's and/or Green Cards.

I'm so thankful for Visa Journey, it's been such a help and relief on this long process to get to where me and my wife are today.

A further update on my case: It's been 94 days now since we filed for EAD and Green Card, no RFE's and also no results.

It still says "My Case Has Been Received" and "My Fingerprint Fee Was Received". Is there anyone else out there that has not received their EAD after 90 days who does not have RFE's?

Always appreciate responses!

Have a good day guys

Hi there. I think it is a good time now to call USCIS and inquire about your case as your EAD application is already outside the processing time (75-90 days) without any RFE.

Hey Erik,

I called once before when it had been 84 days and the lady I spoke with filed a service request. A few hours later I got an email from USCIS that a decision will be made "shortly" on my EAD. Yesterday I filed an e-request online for outside normal processing times. Do you still think I should call or just wait for a response on the e-request?

I think you should call. It will not hurt to inquire about your case. Just follow up on your application as it is outside the normal processing time.

Hi May filers,

I got my EAD approved on July 28 and received on August 12, however my AOS from K1 status is still shown "Fingerprint fee received" since May 20th, as some people from this group have been scheduled for an interview already and some even have attended and been approved (and congratulations btw) does it mean that for the people still shown the original text on the AOS screen even after the soft touch update over the 4th of July weekend that these cases will be Interview waivers? I know each case is different and unique, but thus far I haven't received any RFE's and no updates regarding the AOS. The waiting game continues....

Apparently a RFE on I-485 also restarts the countdown for the I-765.

I feel lied on, several times did I call USCIS to ask and make sure it did not affect it and they always confirmed me that it did not and the cases were treated separately. Somehow suddenly I'm told I won't have any update for my I-765 until 90 days after reception of the documents (July 14 - October 12)

I honestly don't know what else to do than to wait.

I wish they had told me this during all the calls I made.

So it's not gonna be easy.

It's going to be really hard;

we're gonna have to work at this everyday,

Letter after the service request we made 8/12 :

Your case is within our current processing times. Our systems show that we received your response to our RFE (I-485)

on June 30, 2015. Your I-765 will be processed within 90 days of the receipt of the requested evidence.

I have seen others with a much later RFE receipt date already with their EAD/AP cards. That just sucks ! It would make it until Sept. 30 !

I got told the same thing, after calling almost every day for a week.

I wish they had told me this all the times I called USCIS asking if a RFE on I-485 affected in anyway the I-765. They told me 'No, the cases are with the same officer but treated separately. An RFE on your I-485 does not slow down your I-765'

I wish all their calls were recorded and they could hear what I've been told.

I am honestly sick of these processing times. We do everything right and still pay more and spend more time waiting than those who come here illegally or under no visa with wrongful intentions.

All I want right now is to get my AOS done and be worry-less and USCIS-less for some time.

Do you know if we'll have an update in 90days from the receipt of the requested evidence for the AOS too or do we have to wait the initial 'at least 120days'+90 days?

They're feeding us contradicting info...my friend who filed 22nd of April (had issues with their check for 3 weeks coz they sent wrong check amount) and received an RFE 17th of July then sent the response end of the same month...uscis updated status that response to RFE was received 7th of August, finally her EAD was approved yesterday..

so that was just 12 days after they received the RFE response and then approved her EAD...it's just crazy! i really dont understand how our cases are processed...i really hope you get the good news soon hir0

They received an RFE almost 3 months later? smh that is a long time!!

I am glad your friend finally got her EAD approved, somewhat of a 'normal' life can start for him/her.

They received the answer to my AOS RFE 36days ago and honestly if I knew it was going to affect my EAD I could have rushed everyone and send the requested evidence sooner. I didn't rush because I was in no rush to get my AOS... after all theses different stories and run-around I want my AOS!

USCIS suspended her case coz of the wrong fee she sent...they only resumed after they received the correct fee i believe 2nd week of May...so she's considered a May filer i guess... Edited by Glendale
