Hopefully we will ill keep this updated though with any news. Yeah gotta get my SSN, then I need to get my driving license and all that. Can't get license without SSN so . But where I am I can drive on my UK license for a year so that helps .

Heads up - just be sure you have the correct insurance in place. I thought that we were all set temporarily but my agent told me yesterday that all individuals living under the same roof should be listed on my policy - were are waiting to add my husband until after is US driver's license because we would have to pay an additional premium if he is driving on a foreign issued driver's license. My agent said he should not drive in the meantime.

Heads up - just be sure you have the correct insurance in place. I thought that we were all set temporarily but my agent told me yesterday that all individuals living under the same roof should be listed on my policy - were are waiting to add my husband until after is US driver's license because we would have to pay an additional premium if he is driving on a foreign issued driver's license. My agent said he should not drive in the meantime.

Yeah I should have said something like that. We already did because I am using my father in laws car and just needed to ask. His company said I can drive as long as I have my license on me and that I have permission to use the car, so make sure people check their insurance first and check the law in your state :)

Inna I took my EAD and passport to SSN office and applied.. He told me card with arrive in 2-3 weeks. Quick question everyone, he did not give me a receipt is that normal? He just took my documents, then I saw him doing something on his computer and then he said thats it card will arrive 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for sharing, can't wait for mine to change my SSN too:)

We just got back from the SS Office to update the name on our existing SSN and they said that her EAD wasn't found in the SAVE database...yet, which is interesting because we got our EAD card almost a month ago- so the woman basically said, we either give out receipts with estimated delivery of SSN in 2 week or 4 weeks and we get the paper that says 4 weeks so they can verify with DHS.

Also, she said in her experience its usually no more than 3 weeks in these situations.... so now we wait!

Still no update on AOS.

I got my combo card on Wednesday. It is my first piece of id with married name. Today I went to SSA office and was in and out within 15 minutes. I brought birth certificate, marriage certificate, combo card, and i have a state id. They said I could use passport or birth certificate. My passport expired and I want to wait to get US passport , instead of renewing my old one, so luckily I didn't need it.

Its been a long time since I wrote on this topic but it looks like some of us are smoothly running along with our EADs and interviews . I got approved Friday last week and still not received an update on card production and getting a little worried. Congrats on everyone so far though :)

My EAD/AP was also approved past Friday and since then my status showes "case was approved". I spoke to a friend of mine today and she mentioned that she got notified about her card being mailed just 2 days before it arrived. Hopefully by the end of next week we will have it in hand. On Monday I am going to apply for jobs with it or without it ?

I got approved July 29th, received update that card was being mailed out Tuesday, Aug.11 and actually received it in mailbox the next day.

If you plan to travel abroad you may want to renew your passport for now. To obtain a US passport, it will take several years before you can apply for US Citizenship :)

Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.
