Hey May filers! Am I the only one who has "Case was Received" info/message/status on the USCIS website? I noticed that some of you guys have received changes on status online or have received mails. I mentioned couple of days ago on my first post here that I have not received any other letters aside from NOA1 and the biometrics appointment. I have not received an RFE letter. It's a bit frustrating becuase I really want to get a state ID specifically driver's licensed ASAP. Today is the 75th day from May 26, the day they have received my case. I know I should be more patient but it's beginning to be a lil frustrating.

:(

Hey Kabayan. I think it is time to call USCIS and inquire. It will not hurt. That way they can bring it out and review your case.

From the RFE received I read, not sure if it's really 90 days or 60 though. In that case we would be waiting until September but I have seen others

posting with RFE's received before mine and they already have approvals so it may be 'officially 60-90 days ' but unofficially faster if that makes

sense.

"new card is being produced" and after an hour to "case was approved"

give it a try, you might get a good news...good luck!

Just ended the 20 minutes call with the USCIS representative. She made a service request so I just need to be a lil more patient and hopefully something will happen. Thanks for the advice.

I did.. I did! Just ended the 20 minutes conversation and she submitted a service request. She told me to give them 15 days. I didn't ask for a supervisor or a Tier 2 yet because she was able to give me an update which is really nothing much but an update nonetheless. I'm trying to be positive by clinging more on the fact that I have not received an RFE and that the representatives I talked to have not told me I have an RFE. Also, I know we all have to wait but it says on their website 75-90 days processing time so you are right calling on the 75th day is not a bad idea. Thanks for always suggesting action to take.

hir0 , you can try to get a job offer and then ask for expedite again.

So far I've had about 2 since I requested the expedite and none agreed to write a letter.. they said they would once they can e-verify me, but then again they can't e-verify me as long as my EAD is not approved...

All the other jobs just told me to call back when I will have my EAD..

I've tried to explain them that the letter would not be an engagement to them, but they need that background check I can't provide x(

I just received a call from the senator's office, my EAD was approved on August 4th !

No update whatsoever on the website (I've got e-mail, text and app notifications)

- On August 3rd, I requested an inquiry regarding my EAD and have been told by a Tier 2 Agent that I would not have any update until August 20th.

- On August 7th, I called again just for an update, I asked to talk to a Tier 2 Agent (they usually have a bit more informations), they told me there was no update yet and I should call back in 2 weeks.

The lovely lady who has been helping us since our K1 visa told me to call her back if by the end of the week I did not receive my letter.

Honestly, if you are as desperate as I am and have been in it for over 75 days, contact your senator.

Back during the process of the K1 visa we looked up 'Memphis Senator' on google. Two names came up and we chose the first one. My husband, the petitioner, sent them an e-mail explaining our situation and also why we needed to get an answer soon. He was completely honest and shortly after we received an e-mail from a Lady from the senator's office, we sent back a release form and she called uscis about our case. She told us that if we didn't hear anything back in a certain time frame we should contact her back.. 4 days later we were approved.

Now, I just wrote back to the e-mail we then had from her and I told her my situation and how desperate I am, I sent the release form so she could call and ask about my EAD in the afternoon and about 3-4h later she called me.

As hir0 said, just google your senator and you'll get their office number(s). You can also contact your congressperson for assistance. Some offices are very responsive, some are the opposite, and some are in between. It really is a ####### shoot. Sometimes the best approach is just to go to their local office and talk to someone there.

You'll have to sign a form permitting them to use your info.

To those who read my post yesterday...

I called USCIS to ask when I should expect the approval letter and I found out that I am not approved yet.

I have no idea why they gave the senator's office a wrong information.

I just feel like a train run me over. Being all happy to then be disappointed again, I cannot wait for all this immigration process to be over! They're making it hard for us! USCIS please allow us to enjoy our first year as newlyweds without so much stress and worries!
