Our congressman helped us a lot during the K1 visa (5months at TSC, probably would have been twice as long without his 'interest' in our case), I hope it will help too.

If I don't mistake they consider the date they filed it in the computer, not the day you sent it. I sent it on 05/18 but count from 05/20 on. This could explain it :)

you're actually right, coz that's what the rep from tier 1 told me...and talk about updates, mine changed from "New Card Is Being Produced" and after an hour to "Case Was Approved"

Card was mailed out today. Hope to get it by next week.

One question please, I don't understand the I-485 timeline. I see a couple who have gotten interview dates so I want to know when I should expect ours. Because I plan to spend Christmas holiday with my family back home. Is it possible to have interviewed before then?

Has your case status changed to "ready for an interview"? If so, then check the processing times of your local field office to give you an estimate on your interview time (for my local office they've just approved a I-485 from a year ago, so I think I'll be waiting a while!). Some people don't even get an interview, but apparently this can take a lot longer.

Highly unlikely, December is only 4 months away and there is a 50/50 chance of either getting an interview or an interview waiver letter.

Interview is faster to a GC than the interview waiver. Also some received waiver letters and then still got interview appointments.

With waiver letters it takes about 12-14 months to receive your GC, with an interview it's sooner, 5-7 months or so.

I wouldn't plan any travel unless you feel safe enough to do so with your AP, it should be fine for most but personally I would wait.

I-485 is all over the map currently with very long wait times.

Most of the 4 months fast interviews you see are adjusting from other visas, usually not K1's, though possible for a few here and there.

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

Interview Date : Oct 22, 2014

Interview Result : AP , requesting another PC (not expired) and certified divorce decree (was submitted)Stokes interview via phone for petitioner 4 hrs after interview.

Oct 23 email notification visa approved.
Visa Received : Nov. 3 , 2014 VISA IN HAND.

US Entry : Nov. 21, 2014

Marriage : Dec 27, 2014

AOS send : May 12, 2015, received May 14, 2015 USPS priority

Email &text : May 18, 2015, check cashed May 19,2015, return receipt May 21, 2015 stamped USCIS Lockbox, NOA1 (3x) May 22,2015

Biometrics : June 1, 2015 letter received for appointment June 8, 2015, successful walk-in June 1, 2015

RFE : June 12, 2015 for income not meeting guideline. Income does ( ! ) exceed guideline.

RFE response : June 26, 2015 returned with a boat load full of financial evidence.

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Emails : Aug 24, 2015, EAD approved, EAD card ordered.

I-797 EAD/AP approval notice received : Aug 27, 2015

EAD/AP combo card mailed : Aug 27, 2015, EAD/AP combo card received: Aug 31, 2015

Renewal application send for EAD/AP : May 31,2016 (AOS pending over 1 year). Received June 2, 2016,Notice date June7, 2016, emails,texts, NOA1 hard copy

Service request for pending AOS April 21, 2016, case not assigned yet.

Third Biometrics appointment letter received Aug 19, 2016 for Sept. 1, 2016. WTH ?!

EAD/AP (renewal) approval Aug 22, 2016, NOA2 received Aug 25, 2016

Renewal EAD in production notification text and online, expedite successful 4 days after RFE request response was faxed, Aug25mailed,Aug29received.

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

Hi Everyone! I've been following this thread & the June thread so I thought I'd post an update in both.. In the June thread they were talking about an ap on your phone that updates your cases, and I woke up to it going off this morning with updates :)

AOS Timeline 350 days

 

May 31/15 - Sent AOS/EAD/AP to USCIS

June 4/15 - Email and text notifications they were recieved

June 10/15 - NOA1 for AOS/EAD/AP Dated June 1

June 17/15- Change of address confirmation

June 22/15- Biometrics appointment received

July 1/15- Biometrics appointment done(5 minute appointment, 8 hour round trip drive <_< )

August 5/15 - Change of address submitted for new location

August 8/15 - Mobile/E-mail notifications for approved EAD/AP :)

August 17/15 - Change of address confirmation after calling in

August 17/15 - EAD/AP Combo card mailed out(To the wrong address, and then lost by USPS)

September 3/15 - Contacted USCIS and was told to re-apply with a new application and fees?! Put in a service request online for lost card, and a complaint

September 8/15 - USPS found & returned card to USCIS

September 15/15 - Ombudsman contacted USCIS

September 17/15 - Card mailed back out

September 19/15 - EAD/AP Combo card finally in hand

September 22/15 - NPIW letter received, dated September 9/2015 estimated 6 month wait

October 13-21/15 - Traveled using AP to visit parents & ship the rest of our belongings out west

November 27-30/15 - Traveled using AP

December 28/15- RFE hard copy, waiting on documents from Canada

January 31-February 7/16 - Traveled using AP

February 10/16 - Sent in RFE, delivered Feb 16

April 16/16 - Service request filed, RFE was never updated online

May 12 - Approved email and status update dated May 10. Service request never was assigned or solved, though.

May 14 - Greencard in hand!

And yes there are 2 USCIS Case Update apps which is by the way only available in playstore...recommended it to some friends who are iphone users but they said they cant find the application. They're convenient to use coz u dont have to go to the website and type your case #, those apps just gives you update whenever theres changes on your case on the uscis website ?

Application Sent : May 23

AOS timeline

May 18th -- sent concurrent filings(i-485, i-130, and i-765)

May 20th -- USCIS received package

May 23rd -- NOA for biometrics set for June 8th

June 8th -- Did Biometrics had some problems getting in but was resolve

July 10th -- EAD was approved online

July 22nd -- EAD is Recieved

still waiting for Interview schedule for AoS and wating for confirmation of i-130 and i-485

I know how you feel. The employer gave me 2 weeks to get my documents before I lose the offer and one week as passed and I feel like tearing my hair out :clock: . The wait is killing me! I might be checked into a hospital soon because I am going crazy lol.

Oh god, hopefully you'll get it soon! Just got a status update that the card has been mailed to me today :) So they work on Saturdays?

I used USCIS tracker and search app and it's compatible with iphones.
