Congratulations to everyone receiving their documents and having updates !!

Nothing on our side yet, I never received any updates for EAD and AP since May 20. For the AOS they received the documents for the RFE on July 14 and no update since either.

I do know that all my documents are with the same officer. We are hoping for an update this coming week.

I was wondering, how long in average does it take to receive the EAD card from the moment you get the online Approval Update and then shipping update?

Hi everyone,

I received my NOA2 for my EAD yesterday and had a question about where it refers to changing of employers and can be done so after the i-485 has been pending for more than 180 days and refers to form i-140, does this mean that after obtaining a job, I'd be unable to change employers at my own will and choosing? I could have read it wrong, but it threw me off and I was unsure so I thought I'd ask on here. I arrived as a K1, so I'm not sure if it's different for different visas.

thanks

As far as I'm aware a work permit is a work permit...if you entered the country sponsored by an employer then you'd have to stick with that employer but if you're here on a K-1 then I'm assuming you can do as you please.

I do not think that refers to you, like you said its different with different visas. Alot of people receive ead. They are refering to employment based ead. I assume you are marriage based. So u have no problem and your ead would allow u work for any employer.
