As far as working with EAD approval but not yet card in hand, on the I-9 the employer will be using there is an EAD expiration date

that must be entered. I don't think it will be possible to get this expiration date without the card.
I know someone here was reassured by USCIS that they can work with just approval but some USCIS representatives are giving misinformation

so I would ask that question in the 'working in America' forum to get a correct answer.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

Hi Ebunoluwa,

I think it was me who said you could be hired without the actual card ^^

It was my mistake if you have to file the date. The employer I am in contact with, just needs my number to e-verify me in order to hire me but I won't start until the I-9 form is completed.

Just got an update this morning as well! AP status unchanged, EAD status says new card is being produced as of July 28th. Looks like they skipped over the update about approval and NOA2. So happy to see progress!

Hi guys,

I just got the email/ texts from USCIS that my EAD was approved this morning with my case online updated to new card is being produced. Lets hope everyone for May still waiting are only days away. Good luck everyone.
