No. I'm sure it is just a system thing, I really doubt there was an actual update. That was my experience with the I-129f....

An update when the date changes without a new written status means that they looked at the file and did some processing to it or moved it or

sorted it in some way. We used to call it a "touch" on VJ. What exactly they did nobody knows

It could be something like John Doe goes on vacation and sends his box for the next week to Harry *touch,

then John returns and Harry gives the box back to John *touch. Then John spills coffee on it and blah blah.....*touch.

Or a verification of some document has been completed and data entered *touch.

Hi, my son's case was updated 07-06 and says its ready for interview, mine hasn't changed since May, hopefully we have an interview date soon

Hi May filers,

My cases updated on 7/5, I called to check on this and was advised it was a system update and that no one had reviewed or looked at the cases. I have read tho that some people on the AOS case has moved to "ready to be scheduled for interview"

I did read further back that some people sent (2) pictures per case submitted, I was advised only to send (2) per pack regardless of how many cases were enclosed for myself, just like I only submitted payment for the AOS and not both both the AOS and EAD. I have had no RFE's since filling on 5/15. Now just the waiting game...

Update 7/9 today on our I-485. Previous update was 7/9.......anyone else ?

Typo, the bolded part is supposed to read 7/5.

Head's up for everyone: USCIS says its customer service page will be down from Saturday 9 PM ET until Sunday 9 AM ET. Based on past experiences, I wouldn't be surprised if that "outage" goes beyond Sunday 9 AM ET.

I called USCIS yesterday and was unable to speak to a Tier 2, but was told I could submit a request or call back on day 75.

Mine also changed from "fingerprint fee received" to "case is ready to be scheduled for interview"

We sent our papers May 23.

biometrics : june 24.

Ead and advance travel parole : no status change

Most April filers have received their EAD/AP approval, we all should be next.

06/05/2015 -Biometrics done

07/05/2015 -status same but just date changed

Dear friends I have noticed one thing that after 1 month of biometrics, system automatically change date & rarely schedule interview for K1 visa holder, mostly they accept without interview, mostly they approve EAD after 44 days of interview which means we will hear about our cases nearly July 20 :-)

I've looked into the criteria of who gets an interview, apparently with k-1 visa holders it's completely random. A lot of people get it without an interview but a lot of people do. Someone suspected that the field offices might have an interview criteria to uphold which is why some get by without the interview, because they might have already met their target. No one knows for sure!

Either way, I'm eagerly awaiting to hear from USCIS as to when my interview will be.
